I Abstract As an indispensable factor of international busi
7、ness negotiation, the importance of English interpreting has been gaining increasing attention and research in academia. International business communication is not only language communication; language, as the carrier of culture, has close relationship with culture. Because of interpreters deficien
8、cy of pragmatic competence and cross-cultural communication competence, various failures often occur during business negotiation interpreting. These pragmatic failures can cause low communication efficiency and even misunderstanding which lead to serious result. Qualified interpreters should have so
9、und cross-cultural communication competence including language ability, pragmatic competence and culture awareness. Reducing pragmatic failure in business interpreting and improving interpreting level plays a crucial role in international business negotiation. This paper is divided into six parts. T
10、he first part tells introduction to interpretation and the definition. Pragmatics thesis is seen in the second part. The third part talks about cross-cultural communication. The fourth part comes to pragmatic failures in cross-cultural business negotiation. The fifth part talks about application of
11、cooperation principle to cross-cultural business negotiation interpreting.The last part will make a conclusion on the paper and put up with some limitation of the paper.Key words: business negotiation interpreting; pragmatics; pragmatics 摘要 英语口译作为国际商务谈判中不可缺少的因素,其重要性得到学术界越来越多的的关注和研究。国际商务沟通不仅仅是语言的沟通,语
12、言作为文化的载体,与文化有着不可分的关系。由于语用能力和跨文化能力的缺失,口译人员在商务谈判的口译过程中经常出现各种各样语用失误,降低了沟通效率甚至产生误解,从而导致严重后果。语言能力,语用能力和文化意识是最合格的口译人员在跨文化交际中的必备素质。减少口语中的语用失误,提高口译水平对推动国际商务谈判起到积极作用。 论文分四部分。第一部分主要是简单介绍口译的定义和商务谈判。第二部分讲述语用理论,包括语用的定义和语用失误的类型。第三部分把跨文化商务谈判分为两部分进行陈述,首先陈述跨文化交际的特点然后陈述跨文化商务谈判的特点。第四部分陈述的是语用失误类型和原因。第五部分详细介绍述合作原则和礼貌原则在跨文化商务谈判中的应用。第六部分总结以上五部分的内容并提出论文的不足之处。关键词:商务谈判口译;语用学;语用失误;跨文化 ContentsAcknowledgements.IAbstract.II摘要IIIContents.IV1.Introdction.1 1.1 Definition and Process of Interpreting1 1.2 Business Negotiation Interpreting22.Pragmatics .2 2.1 Definition of Pragmatic and Classification.
