Enjoy some pictures of our school and the students' classroom. Ask the students what they are about. 2. Talk about our school and our classroom. T: What is the the name of our school? Ss: Xiuzhou Modern Experimental School. T: How many classes are there in our school? Ss: There are 34(eighteen) classes in our school. Step 2: Let's talk T: What’s our classroom like? Is it big? Ss: Yes, it’s really big. T: What’s in our classroom? S1: There is a blackboard. S2: There are some books. S3: ... Step 3: Presentation 1. Show some pictures and present new words: map, television,wall and furniture. 3. Practice these new words and new patterns. T: Are there any pictures on the classroom wall? Ss: Yes, there are./ No, there aren’t. T: Is there a computer in our classroom? Ss: Yes, there is./ No, there isn’t. Step 4: Listening 1. Listen and repeat the numbers. Ask the students to tell the difference between -teen and -ty. 2. Match the numbers with the words. 3. Listen and choose the correct picture in Activity 1. 4. Talk about Picture 1. T: What’s in the classroom in Picture 1? S1: There is a/ an ... S2: There are some ... S3: ... Step 5: Listening and reading 1. Listen to the conversation and answer the questions. How many students are there speaking? Who are they? 2. Listen and complete the table. Then check the answers. 3. Read and choose the correct answers. 4. Enjoy reading. Step 6: Speaking 1.
