2、开。根据福柯关于疯癫及其与激情和理性的关系的阐述,第一部分首先通过赫索格的激情所在和他的反理性行为来分析他的疯癫表现及原因。另外,赫索格的朋友及妻子构建的无形的精神病院从另一个角度阐释了他的疯癫。此部分主旨在于揭示赫索格疯癫表象之下对生存价值的深刻思索。第二部分主要阐释生存美学的概念和主要原则。通过阐述疯癫与生存美学的关系,这一部分揭示出赫索格失常的行为背后是其对诗意生存的追求。赫索格在探索理想的生存方式的 过程中踏出了社会大众接受的准则而被判定为一个疯癫者。第三部分集中解读主人公是如何通过践行生存美学的主要原则而走向诗意生存的,包括他对自我的关怀以及在维护自己的道德准则、实现自我克制以及对私

4、 antihero Herzogs mind as well as theacute analysis of contemporary culture. Critics home and abroad have studied thiswork in various aspects. Theories such as feminism, archetypal criticism, andexistentialism have been employed in its analysis.This thesis aims to explore the spiritual journey of He
5、rzog throughFoucauldian interpretation. Drawing upon Foucault s theories of madness and theart of existence, it attempts to analyze Herzogs quest for poetic existence and theessential role madness plays in the process. The main body of the thesis is expandedthrough three main steps. According to Fou
6、cault s concept of madness and itsrelations with passion and reason, the first step primarily analyzes Herzogsmadness and the causes behind it in the light of his passions and non- reason acts.Besides, the invisible asylum established by his wife and friends unveils hisinsanity from another aspect.
7、The motif of this part lies in revealing Herzogsprofound meditation on the value of life under the seeming madness. The secondstep is devoted to elaborating the concept of the art of existence and its majorprinciples. Through illustrating the connection between madness and the art ofexistence, this
8、part reveals that beneath Herzogs abnormal activities is his quest forpoetic existence. It is because Herzog stepped out of the accepted order of theconformity to pursue an ideal life style that he was accused of a madman. Last butnot least, the third step focuses on interpreting how the protagonist
9、 achieved poeticexistence by fulfilling the principles of the art of existence, which includes his careof his self and the efforts he paid in maintaining his ethical principles, in realizingself-mastery, as well as in problematizing his personal and spiritual life.The significance of the topic not o
