Good morning, everyone!Im Yang Xiaoying from Longjiadian Middle School.Its my great pleasure to be here sharing my lesson with you .The content of my lesson is Section A of Unit 6 Its raining.Its from Grade 7 in Go For It.Ill prepare to say the lesson from five parts.一 A
2、nalysis of the teaching material1. Status and function: The main topic of unit 6 is “the weather”and Whats happening? In this unit,the students will learn to talk about different kinds of weather.This is a topic that is related to their daily life,so it can raise their learning interests and it will
3、 be also helpful to improve their spoken English.2. Teaching aims and demands:A.: Knowledge objectsTo learn the target words raining, windy, cloudy, sunny, snowing in this lesson. The target sentence construction in this lesson is: How is the weather? Its.B.: Ability objects :(1) To develop the Ss a
4、bilities of listening, speaking, reading and writing. (2) To train the Ss abilities of working in pairs. (3) To develop the Ss abilities of communication by learning the useful structures.C.:Emotion objects:To train the students to love nature, and develop their good friendship. 3. Difficult and imp
5、ortant points: To get the local weather information by using their knowledge which they have learnt.4. Teaching aids: Multi-media computer, Tape recorder, They will be needed in this lesson.二 Analysis of the students The Ss have learned English for about one year so far. They can understand some wor
6、ds and some simple sentences. The Ss have taken a great interest in English now. 三. Teaching methodAs we all know: the main instructional aims of learning English in middle school is to cultivate students basic abilities of listening 、speaking、reading and writing and their good sense of the English
7、language. So in this lesson Ill mainly use “Task-based” teaching method. That is to say, I will let the Ss learn in real situations, finish a task by making a survey to help the Ss to get a better understanding of the key structure of the conversation. Ill also use “situation communicating” method.
8、It can provide enough listening and speaking situations for Ss. I think good teaching methods are the keys to success. 四Study method I request the students to study English independenly cooperatively and investigatively. Each unit in Go for it contains pair work, group work and games. The students w
9、ho sit at the same table and groups can make a discussion and learn from each other. It makes each student relaxed. They neednt worry about making mistakes. It can help students to think and to say what they want to say. Study becomes more relaxed and pleased in this kind of environment.五.Teaching s
10、teps Ill finish this lesson in 5 steps.Step1-ReviewPurpose: To form a better surrounding for the students by speaking and doing some physical response and at the same time it provides situations to review learnt knowledge for the next step. 1. Let a student greet and make a duty report.2. Free talk
11、between T and Ss about last unit.3. Review the present continuous tense by software.I will make a conversation with the students . I ask , students answer.The question is:“ What is he doing?” Students answer :“ He is cooking.” The second picture, “ What is she doing?” “She is dancing.”The third pict
12、ure, “What are they doing?” “They are flying kites.” And then I will let the students ask and answer in pairs using the target sentences “What is he doing?” “What is she doing?”“What are they doing?”. Make sure the students ask and answer correctly. They can use the words:watch TV、sleep、study、play t
13、he violin、play computer games、swim、 eat dinner and play basketball. Step2-Presentation Lead in the new lesson by listening to a song together “Hows the weather?” The purpose is to raise Ss learning interests .The purpose is to present the key words one by one . It is much easier for the students to
14、learn and grasp the meaning. Pictures provide a a real situation for students to understand the conversation better.Ill mainly talk about this step.1.Ill use a picture to ask a question: “Is it raining?” Ss answer:”Yes,it is.” Then Ill tell them if you want to know the weather, you can ask:“How is t
15、he weather?” The answer is:“Its raining.” “raining ”is a target word and “How is the weather?” is a target sentence. Help the Ss understand the meaning by body language. Then lead the Ss to read the sentences. Make sure they can say them out correctly. 2.I will use the other pictures to teach the ot
16、her target words“ windy, sunny, cloudy and snowiny.”These are the sentences they must master. “How is the weather?” “Its cloudy”. “Its windy.” “Its sunndy.” “Its snowing.” and“Its raining.”3. After they finish learning the target words. I will ask them to open the books and turn to P31. I will teach 1a.This activity introduces the key words.After they finish it,
