We can get experience from it, and then improve the ability

5、of teaching. Teaching Reflection is always an effective method of self-improvement. It can be done by thinking about education cases and teaching stories.There is not a fixed pattern of Teaching Reflection. You can write it due to a class, a case, or the whole process of a course. Sometimes, it is a

6、lso like a job summary. The following outline is suggested:I. Introduction II. Procedure III. AchievementsIV. Experience and Lesson V. Plan of the Next Step,Part II Editing & Revising by Yourself,Having finished the Writing Task, you have got 1st draft. Please revise it according to Knowledge Bank (

7、Part I) and Samples (Part III) to check whether you have missed some essential information. If so, please add it. And then finish your 2nd draft.,Part III Samples,English Teaching Reflection Li Fang, Dong Fang Primary SchoolAfter four months English teaching, I made a reflection on it.In this semest

8、er, I have been in charge of English teaching of Grade 3, Primary School. Before having the class, I did a lot of preparations because I wanted to make my classes perfect. Since I have done and seen so many English teaching practices, I have learned a lot from other teachers and tried to avoid the p

9、roblems they have made. With so much experience, I am confident that I can do a good job.,Part III Samples,Good Points:1. A student-centered class. According to the teaching plan, in each class, I only spent about 10 minutes to introduce new knowledge, while students had more than 10 minutes to disc

10、uss it and do exercises. The most important thing was that I have regarded myself as a guider rather than a controller of the class. Students were really “constructing” knowledge actively rather than “receiving” it passively from the teachers.2. Many educational theories in my class. KSAModel (Knowl

11、edge, Skills, and Ability) helped me most to set the objectives of this class, while BSCS 5E model guided me to design the whole lessons.3. An effective lead-in. At the beginning of each class, I used multi-media to warm up. Video, music, picture and PPT were good in attracting students at the very

12、beginning of each class because they could activate students curiosity, which is an important motivation to learn.,Part III Samples,Besides the good points, I also find some weak points in my performance.1. I did not recommend any book or story to read after class. Primary students really like stori

13、es and reading is very important for a learner. Through reading, they can enrich their vocabulary and improve their motivation to learn English. In their spare time, students have enough time to read some English stories. So I should select some little stories and recommend them to my students.2. So

14、metimes, it seemed that the activities I designed did not achieve my teaching objectives. Primary students are very active and they like playing games. But sometimes some students want to be the winners in the games, so they didn t obey the rules of the games. The games had to be cancelled for that

15、reason. I should have considered these uncontrolled factors before the class.,Part III Samples,I also have some findings in my teaching.1. Chinese students always feel difficult when learning English. In fact, learning English is easier than learning Chinese.2. There is not enough time arranged to p

16、ractice English. As a language, English can be learned well through more practice.,Part III Samples,In order to improve my teaching, I made some plans.1. Be energetic and try my best to arrange class activities. Give chance to every student to take part in class activities.2. Help students develop a

17、 good learning habit.3. Recommend some easy and interesting books to my students. Reading will become a part of their homework.All in all, I am very happy and confident in my teaching, which gives me not only experience but also a lesson, an invaluable lesson. I believe that I can do much better in my future teaching career.,
