4、h interpersonal meanings, which reflects the interaction ornegotiation of different kinds of values or positions in the discourse. Evaluation plays asignificant part in expressing the interpersonal meanings. This dynamic view on languageintrigues an enthusiastic study on the interaction between writ
5、ers and readers in the fields ofrhetorical studies, functional grammar and so on. The development of Appraisal Theory(Martin 2000) has opened up areas of research on interpersonal meanings that were largelyneglected within Systematic Functional Linguistics (SFL). Appraisal framework has beenapplied
6、to the analysis of media discourse, including hard news, news stories and newscomments (Rick Iedema, Susan Feez and Peter White 1994; Peter White 2000, 2001; J. R.Martin secondly, how the commentators properlyopen up a negotiation space with the other voices by using these appraisal resources, in ot
7、herwords, how the interpersonal meanings are realized through these appraisal resources; thirdly,what kinds of functions these resources perform in the comments of civil news.The samples used in the study are 10 pieces of the comments of civil news. The 10pieces of news comments are chosen from the
8、electronic version of China Daily. Both- I -山西师范大学学位论文qualitative and quantitative analytical approaches are applied in analyzing the comments ofcivil news. The research procedures can be showed in the following: first, attitude,engagement, graduation resources in the comments of civil news will be
9、explored; second,frequencies and distributions of appraisal resources will be calculated and presented in theform of tables; third, the results will be analyzed in regard to the reasons of their differentdistributions. By analyzing the corpus, the thesis mainly explains the role of the appraisalreso
10、urces in civil news, in other words, how the appraisal resources provide a speech platformfor the common people especially for the vulnerable groups and how the appraisal resourcesharmonize the conflict among different social classes so as to attain the goal of unitingdifferent social classes and co
11、nstruct a harmonious society.The main findings are that the distribution of the appraisal resources in civil news isunbalanced, which is determined by the role of the resources and the features of civil news.Interpersonal meanings are realized through the appraisal resources in civil news. The using

13、用语言学硕士生： 李敏指导教师：韩美竹签名：签名：摘要人际功能是语言的一个基本功能，即使是最具客观性的语言本身也充满了人际意义。人际功能反映了语篇中各种观念或立场之间互动与协商的过程。评价是语篇人际意义的重要组成部分。基于语言的这种动态性，各种语义场中的作者和读者的互动成为很多学者的研究对象。评价理论的发展是对功能语言学人际意义的扩展，为在语篇中研究评价资源提供了一个新的理论框架。评价理论所包括的态度，介入，级差三大系统为本文分析语篇语义层面的人际功能提供了理论依据。评价理论被应用到大量的新闻语篇研究中，例如硬新闻，报道，特写，评论等方面。在这其中新闻评论最具研究意义，因此运用评价理论分析新闻
14、评论中的人际意义值得我们进一步研究。以往对新闻评论的研究把重心放在政治新闻，社会新闻，经济新闻等方面。作为新闻种类之一的民生新闻，其与人们的生活紧密相连，但是运用评价理论分析民生新闻的研究还较少，本论文正是对这一领域进行了探索。依据马丁评价理论中态度，介入，级差三大评价资源，论文力求发现三大资源在民生新闻评论中的分布规律，评论员如何通过这些资源实现语篇的人际意义以及这些资源在民生新闻评论中的语篇潜势。研究所使用的十篇语料均来自于中国日报英文电子版的评论员专刊文章。本文对民生新闻评论进行了定量和定性分析。研究过程如下：本论文首先将探索民生新闻评论中的态度，介入，级差三大资源，再次将会计算出民生新
15、闻评论中评价资源的频率及分布并以表格的形式进行呈现，最后，依据不同资源分布的原因得出结果。通过对民生新闻这一语料进行分析，本论文主要想揭示各种评价资源是如何为百姓尤其是弱势群体提供话语平台，如何为了联合不同的社会阶层和促进和谐社会的建设而协调社会各阶层的利益。研究发现各种评价资源在民生新闻评论中的分布是不均衡的，这主要是由评价资源的作用和民生新闻的特点决定的。从人际意义的角度看，这些资源的运用实现了语篇的人际意义，调节协商了社会各阶层的利益，有利于维护和促进和谐社会的建设。【关键词】：人际意义；评价理论；新闻评论；民生新闻【论文类型】：应用型- III -山西师范大学学位论文- IV -ContentsContents Abstract in EnglishAbstract in Chinese I III1.
