6、“香皂”的意思。乍看之下，觉得不好理解，“厕所”加上“肥皂”，怎么会是“香皂”呢？这是因为你对toilet一词的词义没有全面了解的缘故。 toilet一词的词根是toil。toil源于拉丁语tela（网），在现代英语里仍是“网，圈套”等意思。toil加上表示缩小的名词后缀-et，含义是放衣服和梳妆打扮的小块地方。那么toilet一词作为名词就有了“梳妆打扮，服饰，浴室，盥洗室，厕所，抽水马桶，（医术前后的）洗涤”等意思。你怎么也想不到的是“花露水”竟然是“toilet water”，可千万别理解成是马桶里的水哦。 由此可见，toilet一词的含义是极其丰富的，并不单指厕所。既然toilet有“
