4、rocess，butadynamicone.Itisacomplicatedcommunicativeprocessthatrelatesseveralaspects，suchasthesourcetext，thetargettext，intentionoftheauthor，thecertainreadersandalsosubjectivityofthetranslator.ThethesistriestomakeacasestudyonthetwoChineseversionsofRuralLifeinEngland.Throughtheanalysis，thereaderscancle
5、arlyfindoutthedistinctionbetweenEnglishandChineseprose，andalsocanperceivesomebasicprinciplestotranslateEnglishprose.2.Thetranslatorssubjectivityandprosetranslation2.1ThechangeofthetranslatorsroleIntheprocessoftranslation，theroleofthetranslatorchangesfrombeingneglectedtobeingemphasized，fromthemargina

7、ganoftothetranslatorTuGuoyuanZhuXianlong，2020.Moreandmorescholarsbegantorealizetheimportantroleofthetranslatorinthedynamictranslatingprocess.2.2ThetranslatorssubjectivityThetranslatorssubjectivityisthesubjectiveinitiativerepresentedinthetranslationactivitieswhichaimsattherealizationoftranslatingpurp
8、oses.Thetaskoftranslatoristotranslatetheoriginaltextintothetargetlanguagefromthesourcelanguagebymakingbestuseofhissubjectivityinadynamicwayanddetermininghis/hertranslationpurpose，whatstrategiestobeadopted，howtotreatthetextandotherissuesintheprocessoftranslation.3.Ananalysisofthetranslatorssubjectivi
9、tybasedonthetwoversionsWashingtonIrving1783-1859playsanessentialroleinAmericanliterature.RuralLifeinEnglandmakesavividdescriptionofbeautifulcountrysidesceneryinEnglandwithbeautifullanguageandmusicalmelody.ThroughanalyzingandcomparingthetwoChineseversionstranslatedbyXiaJianandGaoJian，wecanmakeclearho
10、wthetranslatorssubjectivityareembodiedinEnglishprosetranslation.Thethesistriestoanalyzethetwoversionsfromtwoaspects：therhythmandtheuseofwords.3.1ThetranslatorssubjectivitymanifestedintherhythmXuYuanchongoncesaidthatthehigheststandardoftranslationshouldachieveperfectlythebeautyofthesound，theformandth
11、emeaning.Hence，atranslatoroughttoaccuratelyknowwellrhythminproseandprobeawaytoattainthefunctionalequivalencebetweenthesourcetextandthetranslatedinrhythm.Thepassagebelowillustratesthepoint.Thecherishingandtrainingofsometrees；thecautiouspruningofothers；thenicedistributionofflowersandplantsoftenderandg
