For me, BusinessStudieshas provedtobe a fascinatingsub
2、ject,one thatoffersunlimitedprofessionalopportunities.MycourseworkcasestudiesofbothNorwichUnionandZenith Conservatories have given me an insight intocomplexitiesinvolvedinoperatingsuchvariedbusinesses,whichIhavefoundmost intriguing,particularlythosewhichrelatetoanyfinancialconsiderations. Studying t
3、hese business subjects atdegreelevelwillallowme toexplore,indepth,a rangeof stimulating and interdisciplinary topics which Ifeel will give me a broader understanding towards thetheories and practices of management in differentorganizationsinrelationtoaFinancial/Information environmentAt school,I hav
4、e participatedinmany fundraisingevents,opendaysandfurthereducationfairs.Iregularly collect for Save the Children charity andhave subsequently become a member. Extra-curricularactivitieshaveincorporateddramaproductionsofGrease,thepromotionoftheSchoolproductionofWestSide Story as part of my Marketing
5、unit and a heavyinvolvement in the preparation and publishing of ouryear 11 yearbook. These were demanding tasks, whichincluded budgeting our costs and materials to keepwithin a specific price limit. Although it was tough,Ifounditextremelysatisfying,especiallyafterseeing the final results. My AS Bus
6、iness course hasgiven me an understandingoforganizationsas a whole,but experiences such as working on the Year book andduties in my part time job has allowed me to expand myknowledge and consciousnessof suchfinancial topics.MyICTskillshavedevelopedhighlythroughdoingVocationalA levels,whichIfeelisinv
7、aluableintheBusiness field. The main thing I have learnt is thatforallbusinesses,financialmattersareimperative;itisthecoreofanyorganizationandbeingknowledgeable in such issues attracts meMy communicationskillshave been enhanced throughmy parttimeemployment withRiverIsland.My promotionto weekend foot
8、wearmanager is developingknowledgeoffinancialrecordkeeping,problemsolving,meetingweekly sales targets and teamwork awareness, which Ifeelcanbe used and putintopracticewhilststudyingmy preferred degree courseFrom theage of seven I attendeda BurySt EdmundsGymnastics club and competed at County, Region
9、al andNational levels. The feeling that I got when I playeda rolewithinthe team togainthegoldmedal was amazing,equaltothefeelingwhen Iachievedan individualgoldmedalas thetopNationalaroundcompetitor.Therealizationofhow importantmanaging schoolwork witha hobby which was not only physically demanding,
10、butemotionally challenging has given me a understandingof how tobe realistic,a skill whichisvaluablewhenplanning certain business strategiesIbelievethatduringmy sixthformstudiesI havegrown inbothconfidenceand maturity,preparingme forthe opportunity to study at university. My choice ofAS and A levels
