1、Business English and Its Learning StrategiesIn the last two decades, Business English has attracted increasing interest and awareness. Business English is English language related to business, especially to international trade. It is a part of English for specific purposes and can be considered as a
2、 specialism within English language learning and teaching. At the same time, it contains all aspects that concern business events. It also teaches us how to communicate and cooperate with foreigners and studies their lifestyles. Much of the English communication on that takes place within business c
3、ircles all over the world which occurs between non-native speakers.A degree in business English will be an advantage in all careers involving working in the international business world. You will be able to interact in multinational companies in an intercultural environment with a sound foundation o
4、f knowledge about business and the ability to communicate in English. In order to do well in our work, we need know about the strategies.DiligenceMaybe it is hard to perform well in the major, but we can master it by our hard work. Diligence is universally recognized as a virtue. There are numerous
5、references to its advantages, and a great many of people talk about the importance of diligence to achieve success in every area of life. The most famous one is “Genius is one percent inspiration and ninety-nine percent perspiration.”Interest “Interest is our best teacher”. Wed better develop our in
6、terest in English at the beginning of our study. To develop interest in English study is not very hard. We may have the feeling of satisfaction and achievement from our English study when we are able to say something simple in English, talk with others or foreigners in English and act as others inte
7、rpreters.Time managementBesides, time managementis easily one of the most important skills a college student can develop. Without time management skills, life in an academic environment will quickly become chaotic, and the student will soon be struggling to keep his or her head above water. It does
8、not take long to fall behind, and once it happens, students can have a very difficult time catching up.Time managementis not something that can be done a few times a week, like exercise. It is something that must be done constantly. Management must become a part of a students basic frame of referenc
9、e. For many people, it will be a new habit, but there is no need to despair. Any high school or college student can learn how to manage his or her time wisely.MotivationOne of the most important factors that lead one to their goals is the drive. This drive is known as motivation. It is a zest and de
10、termination with a kind of excitement that leads one to persevere to reach greater heights, in no matter what avenue of their life; be it personal or professional. The drive may come from an internal or external source. The individual determines this. The factors that motivate an individual keep cha
11、nging as one climbs the ladder of age and maturity. And also, achievement of one goal sets the ball rolling for another one to be achieved. Thus, to be motivated is a constant need. There are times when one faces a period of de-motivation and everything seems bleak. It is then that they need to find
12、 what would motivate them back into action.Reading and listeningMagazines, journals, newspapers, and other kinds or literature are also important, and have the value of being more up-to-date and less theoretical than books. Especially useful are articles on new developments in different fields of in
13、dustry. In addition, to printed material, TV and video material can be useful. Watching business programmes and documentaries can extend our general knowledge and understanding of business topics and concerns.Taking notesTaking notes can also be helpful. It can make yourself take notes forces you to
14、 listen carefully and test your understanding of the material. When you are reviewing, notes provide a gauge to what is important in the text. Personal notes are usually easier to remember than the text. The writing down of important points helps you to remember them even before you have studied the
15、 material formally. Each student should develop his or her own method of taking notes.As far as Im concerned, it will take a long time to study Business English, especially when it comes to the knowledge with the business background. But once you master the approach, learning business English is not
