1、英语小说选读教学大纲一、课程说明1.课程代码： 107013521 2. 课程中文名称：英语小说选读 3. 课程英文名称: The Selected Reading of English Fiction4. 课程总学时数： 32 5. 课程学分数：2 6. 授课对象：英语专业四年级学生 7. 本课程的性质、地位和作用： 本课程是英语专业高年级的一门专业限选课。英语小说是英美文学中的重要组成部分，与英美诗歌，散文，戏剧等共同组成一个文学的整体。在这个意义上， 本课程是英语专业英国文学史及作品选读 和美国文学史及作品选读课程的延伸。开设本课程的作用主要是通过阅读和分析英语小说，促进学生语言基本功和
2、人文素养的提高，增强学生对英语文学和西方文化的了解。二、教学基本要求1.本课程的目的、任务开设本课程的目的是通过学习与小说写作及欣赏有关的基础知识，培养学生欣赏英语小说的能力，为今后进一步的语言学习运用和文学研究奠定基础。通过本课程的教学，学生可以了解英语小说的基本要素以及基本要素在作品中的意义和作用，了解英语小说的发展史，以及英语小说在英美文学中的地位，从而帮助学生从某个角度深入理解作品的意义和特色。2.本课程的教学要求(一) 基本要求1掌握英语小说写作与欣赏方面的基础知识, 了解不同流派小说的写作风格与特色.2能够独立阅读欣赏不同作家，不同题材，不同风格的小说作品。3通过与中文小说写作与欣
3、赏的比较，掌握英语小说与中文小说在创作风格和表现手法等方面的异同，为今后的语言学习及文学研究打下基础。(二) 教学方法：本课程教学以课堂面授、课堂讨论、小组讨论等为主，并辅以课后练习。课堂面授以讲为主，教学过程中以启发的方式培养学生的阅读小说的能力，从而提高学生对英美文学的敏感性和理解能力。整个教学过程中穿插利用多媒体播放英语原版电影电视作为辅助教学手段。课后布置书面作用4 次，主要以小论文形式完成。布置学生从相关的文献资料中寻找相关的英美文学知识，以便进一步拓展他们的知识面，并培养他们自学的能力。 三、学时分配：学时数章节（序号）内 容理论 实践、实验 总学时第一章英语小说基础知识（要素与类
