Since 1980, the inspiration for all of Sissels work comes from the expressions and faces of real children and from photos of them. She is also inspired by new and antique dolls. This Norwegian artist
3、is a master of her trade. She normally only makes about 10 dolls a year. Goetz reproduces her dolls in vinyl. Her mother, who is in her nineties, has even hand knit some of the clothing worn by Sissels dolls. She works in Cernit with a cloth body. She uses glass eyes and hand dyed human hair. Her dolls are usually about 28” tall and sell for $10,000.00.
