1、一、考试目的 TEM8考试的目的是全面检查已完成英语专业高年级 阶段课程的学生是否达到了高等学校英语专业英语 教学大纲（以下简称大纲）所规定的英语语言 综合运用能力标准以及英语专业知识的要求。二、考试性质与范围 本考试属于标准参照性教学检查类考试。考试范围包 括大纲所规定的听、读、写、译四个方面的能力 以及英语专业知识。 TEM8总体介绍 三、考试时间、对象与命题 本考试在英语专业第八学期举行，每年一 次。考试对象为高校英语专业四年级学生 。本考试由教育部高等学校外语专业教学 指导委员会英语组组织有关测试专家命题 ，外语专业教学指导委员会办公室负责考 试的实施。 四、考试形式 为了有效地考核学

8、，many of the universities， especially those foreign language universities，can get a very high pass rate.个案分析：新题型（人文知识 ） 高等学校英语专业八级考试大纲修订小组 于2004年审议并通过了新的英语专业八级 考试大纲(以下简称新考纲)，并且在2005 年三月英语专业八级考试中首次实行新题 型。人文知识目的与形式 新考纲强调学生要“增强对文化差异的敏感性”， 同时在“考试目的”中明确了检查“英语专业知识”的 要求。人文知识是新增加的题型，这是根据教学 大纲提出的“拓宽人文知识”的要求而
