9、became acquainted when he was 14.Apparently she treated him kindly and may have urged him or perhaps inspired him to write poetry. Beauty,as Poe uses the word in the poem ,appears to refer to the womans body as well as her soul.On the one hand ,he represents her as Helen of Troythe quintessence（典 范
10、）of physical beauty-at the beginning of this poem.On the other ,her represents her as Psyche at the end of the poem.In Greek,Psyche means soul.Physical beauty + Spiritual beautyThe true beautyAbout the authors feeling 这是一首写给内心深处所爱的女 人的诗。充满了古典主义式唯美 ,深刻的表达了作者对爱与美的 执着追求 艾伦坡对自己的诗解释就是 ： 为了美而美，为了诗而诗。而他 所提
11、到的美绝不仅仅是外表上的 ，还有精神上的纯洁与真挚。My feeling 有人认为普赛克举灯的形象意味着失去，因为当 灯油滴到她丈夫的脸上时，她便失去了丈夫。所 以爱伦.坡是通过海伦的原型来否定自己的爱情， 通过普赛克的形象证明爱情永远不可能被实现。 但我认为不能忽视普赛克最后的美好结局：克服了重重困难 以后，她与丈夫快乐地团聚，并化作女神。因而我认为通过 此诗，爱伦.坡也积极地表达了他执着的对美和爱的追求。 诗人所追求的这种美是真正的美，是身体美与心灵美结合的 永恒的美。 After reading this poem,I deeply realized that we should not only pay attention to our physical beauty but also our spiritual beauty.(读了这首诗我更加深刻地意识到我们不仅要注重外在美，更应该注重内在美。)
