10、h delicious food. 他走进去,却发现壁炉里炉火正旺,一张桌子上摆满美味佳肴。 He waited a long time for the owner to appear, but no one came. 他等了很长时间,等着主人露面,但是没有人来。He was starving, so he finally ate a bit of the food. 他饿极了,于是他最后(忍不住)吃了一点食物。 He then found a bedroom where he fell fast asleep. 然后他找到一间卧室,并很快在那儿睡着了。The next morning he

13、n ugly monster who said, “Ungrateful man! I have saved your life and in return you steal my roses. You must die!“ 他看到一头丑陋的怪兽对他说:“忘恩负义的人!我救了你的命,你却偷我的玫瑰来报答我。你必须死!” But the merchant begged the Beast not to kill him for the sake of his children. 但是商人乞求野兽看在他孩子们的份上不要杀他。 The Beast seemed interested when he

14、 learned of Beauty and her request for the rose. 野兽在听说了美女和她要求得到一朵玫瑰的故事之后似乎有了兴趣。“Then you must ask her to come here in place of you. “那么你必须叫她到这儿来代替你。 You will have three months. 给你三个月的时间。Return home, and if she will not come then you must return. 回家去,如果她不愿来,那你必须回来。 However you will not depart empty-h

N “ 你不知道这朵玫瑰将怎样使你不幸的父亲丢掉性命。 ”And he related N his adventure with the Beast. 于是他把遭遇野兽的事说了一遍。 6 Beauty immediately insisted on returning to the home of the Beast to save her fathers life and would hear no arguments. 美女立刻坚持要去野兽家,以此来救她父亲的命,而且不愿听任何劝阻。 On the day of her departure her sisters rubbed their eyes with onions, pr
