She had to stay home, and her friend Jill could not come and play. That made Pam mad.“I hate to be sick,” she told Teddy. “It is no fun!”Pam got out of bed.
6、 She picked out a book and tried to read. The boy in the book was playing in the snow. He was having fun. Pam was not! She closed that book fast.Pam got out her art stuff. She tried to draw her cat, Bud. “Sit still, Bud!” she said.But Bud did not sit still. He ran away. Bad cat!11Pam played a type.
7、The first song was “Put on a Happy Face.” Pam did not want to do that. She put on a mad face. That was the face for her!13Pam got back into bed. She curled up in a little ball. She felt mad and sad and sick. Dad was at work. Mom was downstairs. Jill was at her house. “No one loves me,” she told Tedd
8、y. Then she cried herself to sleep.14When Pam woke up, the house was still. She felt all alone.16But wait! What was that noise?It was Mom with a tray. There was a rose on the tray. It was red and soft. There was tea on the tray. It was hot and sweet. And there was toast on the tray toast with grape
9、jelly.18“Yum!” said Pam. “Grape jelly is the best.” She ate one bite. She ate two bites. She ate all of her toast.20Mom picked up a deck of cards. “Lets play Go Fish,” she said.
