1、Module 8 AccidentsUnit 3 Language in use-1教学设计一、教学目标1. 掌握词汇和灵活运用本模块词汇和短语:pale, appear, round, corner, hit, glad, in time, fall off, risk, side by side, pay attention, bit, climb, hide, throw, fridge, pain, worse, medicine2. 掌握句型:(1) While the lights were changing to red, a car suddenly appeared roun

2、d the corner.(2) When Henry was trying to find the snake, his hand began to hurt badly.(3) I was trying to pick it up when it bit me again.3. 通过听、说、读和写等各种活动和练习,学生能够掌握过去进行时与when 和while 引导的状语从句连用的用法。二、教学重点及难点重点:通过听、说、读和写等各种活动和练习,帮助学生练习过去进行时与when 和while 引导的状语从句连用的用法。难点:能够掌握过去进行时与when 和while 引导的状语从句连用的用

3、法。三、教学准备1. 多媒体设备和课件;2. 设计课后巩固练习;3. 教学图片。四、教学过程Step 1 Warming-upDivide Ss into several groups and let them make up a story according to the picture.Last week I stayed at home alone.【设计意图】通过设置情景和小组讨论,拓宽学生的思维,提高学生的安全意识,并使学生具备一定的应变能力,复习上一单元的知识并且紧扣本模块主题。Step 2 Presentation1. Language practice.(1) T shows

4、 the important sentences and asks Ss to fill in the blanks. the lights to red, a car suddenly appeared round the corner. Henry to find the snake, his hand began to hurt badly.I to pick it up it bit me again.(2) T asks Ss to summarize use of past continuous adverbial clauses with when and while in gr

5、oups of four.2. T explains and summarizes the grammar in Module 8.【设计意图】讲解本模块的重点语法内容过去进行时与when和while 引导的时间状语从句连用的用法。Step 3 Practice 1. Do some exercises to consolidate the grammar points.2. Work on Activity 1. (1) T asks Ss to complete the sentences with when and while on their own.(2) T checks the

6、answers as a class.3. Work on Activity 2.(1) Ask Ss to look what Tony did last Saturday, then complete the You column.(2) Then T asks Ss to write sentences. Follow the example below:(3) T asks Ss to share with their partners what they did last Saturday in pairs.【设计意图】对过去进行时进行练习,旨在训练学生在真实语境中运用语言的能力。4

(1) Ask Ss to read the words in the box and say their Chinese meanings.(2) T asks Ss to read the incomplete conversation and try to fill in the blanks with the correct form of the words in the box.(3) Check the answers as a class.【设计意图】本活动是第二单元课文的延伸,设置了亨利被咬后与医生的一段对话,是一个语言综合训练活动

8、,既考查学生在真实语境中对不同动词的运用能力,又检测学生对不同时态的掌握,特别是一般过去时的用法。5. Work on Activity 4.(1) Ask Ss to read the expressions in the box, and write down the Chinese meanings of these expressions.(2) Ask Ss to complete the passage with the correct form of the expressions in the box.(3) T checks the answer as a class.【设计

9、意图】本活动要求学生运用本模块中的重点短语完成文段。学生可以借此活动来巩固、检测自己对这些短语的掌握情况。6. Work on Activity 5.(1) T asks Ss to read the incomplete news report and try to complete it with the correct form of the words in brackets.(2) Check as a class.【设计意图】本活动练习本模块的重点语法项目过去进行时,让学生在语篇中巩固、检测本模块重点语法内容。7. Work on Activity 6.(1) T plays th

10、e recording and asks Ss to complete the accident report.(2) T plays the recording again and asks Ss to check their answers.(3) T asks Ss to read the report loudly and learn how to write a report.【设计意图】本活动围绕本模块话题“事故”展开,主要考查学生对于过去进行时用法的掌握情况。短文挖空的形式是中考常考的听力测试题型,学生通过练习把握听力技巧,增强听力能力。Step 4 ProductionLet

11、Ss do some exercises to consolidate what they have learned.【设计意图】通过练习巩固本课所学知识,考查学生对知识的掌握程度。Step 5 Summarywhen和while 在时间状语从句与过去进行时连用中的不同用法: when意为在时刻或时期,它可兼指时间点与时间段,所引导的从句的动词既可以是终止性动词,也可是持续性动词。while只指时间段,不指时间点,从句的动词只限于持续性动词。如:Step 6 Homework1. Master the words and expressions in this module.2.
