2、科_网Z_X_X_K另外long before还用于以下句式It is was, will be/ takes/took long before在前需要很久。例如;It was long before he came back. 过了好久他才回来。It wont be long before we see each other. 不久我们又会见面的。(2) seem常常和不定式,形容词,分词,名词和介词短语搭配。如:He seemed to hear a voice in the distance She seems quite happy todayThe news seems exciti

3、ng. He seemed excited at the newsHer mother seems a teacher. They seemed in high spirits seem常用于it作形式主语的“It seems/seemed that”结构,如:It seems that you were lying. It seemed that he had been a scientist. seem常用于由as if/though引导的从句中,如:a) It seems as if it is going to rain.b) It seems as though our plan w

7、) They speak English not only in class but also in the dormitory. (连接两个地点状语) Note not only but also 连接两个主语时,谓语动词要和与其最近的主语保持人称和数的一致。例如: Not only the students but also the teacher was against the plan. / Not only the teacher but also the students were against the plan. not only but also 连接两个分句,并且 not

8、only 位于句首时,第一个分句中的主语和谓语要部分倒装。例如: Not only does the sun give us light but also it gives us heat. Not only did he speak English correctly, but also he speaks it fluently. 13、ed surprised, “I havent seen the other dodos either,” he said. “Maybe someone else killed them.” I believe him but when more dodos disappeared I set a trap. I went off as if I was going to hunt but instead I hid in the forest and waited. Sure enough man came along. He ran after the last of my dodo friends and killed her. I felt so angry that I rushed out of my hiding place and straight at mans spear. He killed me too. After that there were no more dodos in the world. So my motto is; be careful who you trust.
