In 1928, they got married in CanadaOnreturningtoChina,LinHuiyinstartedteachingarchitectureatNortheastUniversity.AccompanyingherhusbandtothousandsofancientChinesearchitecturalsites,mostofwhichwereinremoteareas,shedevotedherlifetoresearchintoChinasarchitecturalhistory.From1930to1945,th
6、eyworkedonmorethan200ancientbuildingsinChina.Thankstotheirefforts,somesitesvaluewasrecognizedinChinaandintheworld,whichhelpedalotinourheritageprotection.AfterBeijingwasliberated,TsinghuaUniversityengagedherasanarchitecturproffesorSheaccomlishedherteachingandreserchworkexcellently.Forthatduration,she
7、co-wrotemanysignificantessayswithherhusband,liketheDevelopmentStagesofChineseArchitectureandCityDesignOutline.Besides,shealsocontributedtothedesignforChinasNationalEmblemfromSEPEfrom1949toJune1950.ThenshetookpartinthedesignofHeroofthePeoplesMonumentinBeijingsTiananmenSquarein1951.Inthesameyear,sheto
