1、第3课时(Section B)单 词connect点拨connect 意为“(使)连接；与有联系”，其过去式和过去分词是 connected。另外 connected 也可以用作形容词，意为“连接的，有联系的”。如：The towns are connected by train and bus services. 这些城镇由火车和公共汽车连接起来。辨析be connected to 与 be connected with(1)be connected to 意为“把连上”。如：Please connect the computer to the Internet. 请把电脑和网络连上。(2)
2、be connected with 意为“把与连接起来”。如：It serves as a bridge which connects the mainland with the restof the world.它是连接祖国大陆与世界其他地方的桥梁。短 语1even if点拨辨析even if 意为“即使， 纵然”，引导让步状语从句。even if 与 even though这两个词组大致意思相当，但强调的侧重有所不同。even if一般引导的是把握不大或假设的事情，even though 引出的是事实。如：Even though he knows it, hell not let out
3、the secret.即使他知道这个秘密，他也不会泄露。(他知道这个秘密)Even if he knows it, hell not let out the secret.即使他知道这个秘密，他也不会泄露。(不确定他是否知道这个秘密)2keep doing sth.点拨keep doing sth.意为“继续做某事”，表示不间断地持续做某事，keep 后不能接不定式或表示静止状态的 v-ing 形式，而必须接延续性的动词。如：He kept working all day, because he wanted to finish the workon time.他整天都在不停地工作，因为他想按时完成工作。链接keep.from doing sth. 意 为 “ 阻 止/防 止 做某事”。如：The heavy snow kept us from going out. 大雪使我们不能出去。
