1、04a Newtons Big Adventure乌龟从来没有离开过自己的地方,今天他鼓起勇气要去看看远方!NARRATOR: It was another one of those days when Newton the Turtle spent all morning sleeping- more or less More or less! 差不多. Ooh. Ooh! Ooh! ( grunts ) PEEP: Newton! Newton! NARRATOR: Peep and Quack ran to the crabapple tree with important news.
2、PEEP:Newton, you wont believe the adventures we just had! I went down the rabbit hole! Oh. PEEP:And Quack. QUACK:I got stuck in the hollow log When people get stuck in traffic, they become impatient. 当人们陷入大塞车时,会变得很不耐烦。. Ah. PEEP:What have you been doing today? NEWTON: Well. first, an apple fell on m
3、e. Then. an apple fell on me. And then, an. QUACK:Yeah, yeah, yeah- an apple fell on you. Well. yes! How did you know? PEEP:Why dont you come have adventures with us? ( Quack grumbling ) NEWTON:I dont know. I dont move as fast as you. QUACK:Thats right, you dont. Well, weve got things to do. So long
4、! so long 再见 PEEP:Youre still invited! Well be at the pond! NARRATOR: Watching Peep and Quack, Newton began to think he might be missing something. NEWTON:You know, its time I had some adventures of my own. Yes. Here I go! NARRATOR: And so began Newton the Turtles adventures. Newton thought of all t
5、he things that he had never seen before. NEWTON: How do you think about something youve never seen? NARRATOR: Newton would never see anything new if he didnt keep moving. NEWTON: Right. Onward! ( gasps ) Oh, my first discovery! What are you? NARRATOR: Newton had found dandelions growing dandelion n.
6、 蒲公英. ( sniffing ) Hmm. ( sneezing ) Oh. oh. Wow! ( gasps ) ( splashing ) NARRATOR: Suddenly, Newton found himself in the middle of a tremendous tremendous 极大的,巨大的;惊人的 puddle. But Newton didnt panic Panic十分惊慌.NEWTON: I think. Im panicking! NARRATOR: Like a turtle, he took it slow He isnt ready for m

( wind blowing ) NARRATOR: Before going in, Newton made sure he could get out again. NEWTON: Okay, here I go. Kind of crummy Crummy微不足道的;寒酸

NARRATOR: Newton saw where he wanted to be. NEWTON: Hmm. NARRATOR: But he wasnt sure how to get there. ( grunting ) ( straining ) (
9、 straining ) Whoa.! ( grunts ) ( voices approaching ) ( metallic drumming ) ANT: No, not food. ( crunches pebble ) Oh, this isnt food, either. Well never find any food ever again! NEWTON: Are you looking for food? ( ant gasps ) ANT: Who said that? Was that you? Hey, over here! Talking pebble Pebble
10、卵石! Incredible. Ill be famous. ( laughing ) Hmm. Hello! NEWTON: It wasnt the pebble. It was I, Newton. ANT; Oh! Whoa! Whoa! Big face! Its a big face coming out of a. Hmm. Hmm. Huh. A bigger thing! Its a big thing with a big face stuck on it. ( sighs )NEWTON: What are you? ANT:Oh! Whoa! Whoa! NEWTON:
11、 Im a turtle. If you need food. would crumbs Crumb面包屑,碎屑like this help? ANT:Yes! Hey, guys! Food! ANTS: Hooray! ( ants talking and chomping ) Thank you for bringing us food, giant. thing. Im a turtle. Theres a whole box of crumbs right up there. ( ants cheering ) ANT: You are so much wiser than we a
12、re. Do you travel the world helping everyone with your knowledge? You must have amazing adventures. NEWTON:Well, Im having some pretty amazing adventures today. ANT: Thanks again, giant. helpful thing! NEWTON: Im a turtle! NARRATOR: As he watched the ants, Newton realized the day was ending. NEWTON:
13、 If I dont get home before dark, I may never find my way back. NARRATOR: But he didnt know which way led home. ( straining ) ( gasps ) There it is! NARRATOR: Newton went just as fast as he could. Im home. ( sighs ) ( Newton yawning ) QUACK: Well, look at that. Sleeping again. He didnt move all day. PEEP: I dont want to wake him up. Ill say good night to him tomorrow. NARRATOR: Newton was already dreaming about his day- about all hed done and how far hed gone on his great adventure.
