4、征服一切的力量。资本是现代社会的核心要素，要想真正把握现代社会的运行机制，只有深入到对资本的分析中。马克思对于资本与现代社会的深刻批判，集中体现在1857-1858年经济学手稿中，马克思对现代社会的批判就是一种资本批判。在新形势下重新阐释艺术生产理论，必须回到现代社会的起点-资本处寻求突破，必须回到1857-1858年经济学手稿寻找理论支撑。在现代社会，资本作为统治一切的力量，不仅称霸了物质生产领域，还步步向人类的精神花园浸淫。它不仅在内涵上为当代“精神活动”作出清晰界定，还把精神活动纳入资本运行的轨道中，自此，精神活动成为真正意义上的艺术生产，艺术跳脱了前资本主义时代那种纯粹的、无功利的内涵
5、要求，开始具有了“艺术”与“生产”的二重属性，物质生产的一般规律也同样适用于艺术生产。艺术生产与物质生产并轨运行，资本的光明面与局限性都将显露无遗。一方面资本以其强大的增殖与扩张能力为艺术生产袪魅，使之由“贵族的玩物”变成“人民的必需”，艺术大发展大繁荣了；另一方面，资本的内在局限又使得艺术品在机械复制时代失去了独一无二的圣洁，艺术家在不断地迎合市场的过程中由天才沦落为“非人”，艺术大沦落大倒退了。艺术生产理论研究具有重要的学科价值。对艺术发展的历史过程的揭示，对艺术活动基本规律的把握、对自由而全面发展的人的追求等等，这一切都是艺术生产理论的生命力之所在。而面对当代中国火热现实，承认资本、发展
