However, in view of the differences between regions which attributes to the variations in culture, the structure of society, development degree and etc, educat

With the increasing number of Chinese parents who sends their children go abroad for study, a great many of people exclaim that the west educat
3、ion is superior to Chinese education whereas , some still maintain that Chinese education is worth spreading to some extent. Having referring to lots of information about Chinese and the west education online, and having watching a BBC documentary took not long before in which 5 eminent Chinese teac

Teachers are the superiors of the students. thus Chinese students are required to show their respects to their teachers and not be encouraged to doubt the knowledge they received. On the contrary, in the west, students have a comparative equal rela
6、tionship with their teachers and they are welcomed to question their teachers. Thats the reason why in the BBC documentary, the 5 teachers, who are respected in china unexpectedly have problems handling with the discipline in Britain class. Second, Chinese education and the west education apply for
7、pretty different class teaching. In Chinese teaching class, the process of knowledge transfer is more like a teachers monologue, almost without students involvements. Taking notes and trying to understand whats going on in the screen Is all the Chinese students do while having class. However, Wester
8、n education is based on Child centered learning, community methods . that is to say, instead of telling students what theory or principle behind a natural phenomenon directly, they prefer to guide them explore the truth by themselves. Its beneficial to cultivate students interests in a subject and n

In the BBC documentary, the Chinese science teacher only focus on delivering knowledge directly while teaching, which disappoint the west students a lot. Plus, class hour is another striking difference in class teaching. In the west, the average class h
10、our is 6-8 hours and more hours are given to students for extracurricular activities or self-exploration in study, while in china, its 10-12hours, which is just like a long studying marathon, restricting students to mere study, exhausting students easily.Third, examinations system amid china and the

In china, whether a student can be admitted into an outstanding senior high school or college is typically depended on one examination, which is called zhong kao or gao kao. in the west ,however, for students in the west, every single test will be an reference standard

Theres no deny that Chinese education exists many flaws while western education do have plenty of advantages that worth learning.
