By the time I finally felt the land under my feet, I was tired out. I fell down on the beach and went to sleep. I woke up as th

2、e sun was rising, but I found I could not move. My arms, legs and hair were tied to the ground! Sandy loves reading novels. She is reading a book called Gullivers Travels, by Jonathan Swift (16671745). Here is an extract from the book. Then I felt something on my leg. It moved up over my stomach and

3、 neck until it was standing near my face. I looked down and saw a very small man. He was the same size as my little finger! Where was I? Who was this tiny person? Soon more small men started climbing all over me. There were around 40 of them. I shouted at themthe loud noise made them all fall over.

4、However, they soon got up again and continued moving across my body. One of these small men began talking to me, but I could not understand him. I did not know what to say either. I tried to pull one hand free and finally managed to break the ropes. When I lifted my left hand into the air, the small

5、 men began to shout. I looked down and saw a huge army of tiny people. Bill通常6点到家,但是今天他直到7点才到家 。 辨析till与until 考向【重点】 相同点不同点 till 与until都可用作介词或连词, 一 般情况下可通用。用在肯定句中,意 为“到(的时候)为止”。谓语动词 一般是延续性的,表示这个动作一直 延续到till(until)所表示的时间为止。 eg:They talked till/until dawn. 他们一直谈到天亮。 until可用于句首。 eg:Until you told me I had

9、 no idea of it. 在你告诉我之前,我 对此事一无所知。 相同点不同点 用在否定句中,意为“直到才” , 表示这个动词的动作直到 till/until所表示的时间才发生。 eg:Tom didnt leave his office until/till he finished the work. 直到完成工作,汤姆才离开他的 办公室。 until可用在以not开头的短 语或从句里。 eg:Not until ten oclock did we arrive in Nanjing. 我们直到十点才到达南京 。 the same.as . 与相同知识识点4 考向 the same.as
