8、n began working on motion pictures after attending a lecture by Eadweard Muybridge, who used his zoopraxiscope (动物实验镜) to make animals move. Edison talked with Muybridge and decided to take up the subject of moving pictures. He planned to design “an instrument that does for the eye what the phonogra

In addition, he planned to create sound movies by linking this equipment to a phonograph. While Edison provided the idea for the inv
