What can we infer from the first paragraph?

What can be inferred from the passage? It can be inferred

、from Paragraph 5 that_.A data leakage is more severe in EuropeB FTCs decision is essential to data securityC California takes the lead in security legislationD legal penalty is a major solution to data leakage原文根据:1.The current state of affaires may have been encouragedthough not justifiedby the lac

、k of legal penalty (in America, but not Europe) for data leakage.2.Until California recently passed a law, American firms did not have to tell anyone, even the victim, when data went astray.3. That may change fast: lots of proposed data-security legislation is now doing the rounds in Washington, D.C

、.4.Meanwhile, the theft of information about some 40 million credit-card http:/ in America, disclosed on June 17th, overshadowed a hugely important decision a day earlier by Americas Federal Trade Commission (FTC) that puts corporate America on notice that regulators will act if firms fail to provid

、e adequate data security.

A data leakage is more severe in Europe. B FTCs decision is essential to data security 的依据。 C California takes the lead in security legislation的依据。 D legal penalty is a major solution to data leakage的依据。

47. What can we infer from the first three paragraphs?A In both East and West, names are essential to success. http:/ The alphabet is to blame for the failure of Zo? Zysman.C Customers often pay a lot of attention to companies names.D Some form of discrimination is too subtle to reco

、gnize.Over the past century, all kinds of unfairness and discrimination have been condemned or made illegal. But one insidious form continues to thrive: alphabetism. This, for those as yet unaware of such a disadvantage, refers to discrimination against those whose surnames begin with a letter in th

、e lower half of the alphabet. It has long been known that a taxi firm called AAAA cars has a big advantage over Zodiac cars when customers thumb through their phone directories. Less well known is the advantage that Adam Abbott has in life over Zo? Zysman. English names are fairly evenly spread betwe

、en the halves of the alphabet. Yet a suspiciously large number of top people have surnames beginning with letters between A and K.Thus the American president and vice-president have surnames starting with B and C respectively; and 26 of George Bushs predecessors (including his father) had surnames i

、n the first half of the alphabet against just 16 in the second half. Even more striking, six of the seven heads of government of the G7 rich countries are alphabetically advantaged (Berlusconi, Blair, Bush, Chirac, Chrtien and Koizumi) 。 The worlds three top central bankers (Greenspan, Duisenberg an

、d Hayami) are all close to the top of the alphabet, even if one of them really uses Japanese characters. As are the worlds five richest men (Gates, Buffett, Allen, Ellison and Albrecht) 。 In both East and West,Zo?

From the first two paragraphs, we learn that_.Athe townsfolk deny the RSCs contribution to the towns revenue http:/ the actors of the RSC imitate Shakespeare on and off stageC the two branches of the RSC are not on good termsD the townsfolk earn little from tourism答案为 A 选项,解题思路就是第一段是事实的论述,而第二段第一句就出现了观点,对应 A 选项。 We may infer from the second paragraph
