1、Direct Speech & Indirect Speech,直接引语变为间接引语时需注意：,人称代词的变化、时态的变化以及某些动词和时间、地点的变化。,人称代词的变化需根据具体的语境而定。动词时态的变化一般向后推后一个时态。如：现在时改为过去时、过去时改为过去完成时等。,Learn the following sentences:,He said, “I didnt come here yesterday.”He said he hadnt gone there the day before.,*注意人称代词、动词、时间及地点状语的变化。,He said, “I was born in 1
2、957.”,He said he was born in 1957.,(时间状语不变， 时态不变。),He said, “I will be back in 1999.”,He said he would be back in 1999.,(时间状语不变, 时态变了。),*如果时间状语为具体的某年某月某日，在变为间接引语时保留，其相应的时态可以保留不变，有的时态仍需变化，视上下文而定。,“Are you hungry?” he asked me. He asked me if / whether I was hungry.“Where did you find the lost wallet?

Lets learn other sentences.,如果直接引语为疑问句，变为间接引语时，除 了作出上表所要求的变化外还要将疑问语序改 为陈述语序，就像一般宾语从句的语序一样。,若直接引语是一般疑问句，变为间接引语时，将直接引语改为由whether/if引导的宾语从句，主句谓语多用ask。,“Telephone to the police station at once,” he said to me. The driver told us not to stick out our heads as the bus went.,*如果直接引语为祈使句，在变换为间接引语时除了作出上表所要求的变化以外，有时还需要变换动词。ask/tell
5、/order + sb. to do / not to do sth.,The teacher said, “The earth goes round the sun.”The teacher said that the earth goes round the sun.,Pay attention!,如果直接引语是客观真理，一般现在时不改变。,“Please do me the favor to carry the box upstairs.” said the lady.,The lady asked me to do her the favor to carry the box upstairs.,祈使句中的 please 要去掉。,Thank You!,
