4、 Chinese medicine is developed more than five thousands years, acupuncture is the great of cultural legacies of the Chinese nation with a long history. In my opinion, it plays the important role in Chinese Medicine.1 1. Introduction to acupuncture 3Acupuncture and moxibustion is an external therapy.
5、 By means of needing and moxibustion, it can stimulate the body and activate the regulating functions of the body to improve and rectify the disturbance and dysfunction of certain organs in the body. 6、eory of acupuncture is Huangdi Neijing. It guides the development of such a unique specialty. (Zhao Jingsheng, Li Zhaoguo, Page 4). In Tang Dynasty, Sun Simiao gave a clearly colorful illustration of meridians in his book Golden Prescription. From then on, acupuncture and formed a complete of system
7、 gradually. Not until the 17 century, acupuncture was spread to Europe. Although, acupuncture is very useful to treat much serious disease, it was not accepted by the Western at first. In 1987, Federation of World Acupuncture and Moxibustion Society was established in China. Today, acupuncture has b
8、een used in about 100 countries and regions. The science of acupuncture has been developed widely and rapidly in anesthesiology all over the world. The ridiculous thoughts of acupuncture have been eliminated at all. I think acupuncture and moxibustion will have a better tomorrow.43 3. Advantages of
9、acupuncture Acupuncture has many advantages，that is why it can be accepted by so many people. At first, the tool of treatment is very simple and easy to carry. Using the small needle, acupuncture and moxibustion are easy to do and can be used at anytime and anywhere. For this point, the ancient Chin
10、ese doctor can increase the rate of rescue among emergency patients. Secondly, needles can be used to treat internal, surgical and all kind of disease occurring in the skin, mouth, eyes, nose and so on. Even up to now, acupuncture is effective, including internal, circulation, immune, digestion, neu
11、ral, urinary and reproductive systems more than three hundreds disease. Thirdly, acupuncture can reduce the pain of mental and physical quickly. Chemical drugs destroyed our nerves with no restoration on some surgery. It effects quicker than other chemical medicine and has no bad influence on our bo
12、dies. That is why the acupuncture anesthesia has so many good comments at home and abroad. 4 4. Treating of Acupuncture Acupuncturist is treating a disease or relieving pain by inserting metal needles at certain points of human body. The certain points of 5body, we call them meridians. At the time o
13、f a needle inserting at meridians, we will have a feeling just like a mosquito bite. With the time flowing, patients may feel sore, numb, warm and swelling. Normally, it takes 20 or 30 minutes to have an acupuncture treatment on an average, but this depends on the sensitivity and condition of the pa
14、tient body. According to the severity of disease and condition of body, acupuncturist will choose the different meridians, use the different numbers of mental needles and control the time of treating. For short-lived problems, it only needs a few times of acupuncture treatment.5 5. Prescriptions for
15、 chronic nasal sinusitisFrom some traditional Chinese medicine books, I find some prescriptions for chronic nasal sinusitis. For many people have this problem, I want to share the best method to cure such illness. The master meridians of controlling this disease are Hegu, Yingxiang, Quanliao and Cua
16、nzhu. Quanliao is a meridian which we touch frequently when we do eyes exercise. It is located directly below the outer canthus, in the depression on the lower border of zygoma. If you want to find Hegu, you just find the junction of your thumb and index finger. Yingxiang is located in the nasolabial groove and at the level of the midpoint of the lateral border of nose.
