2、ish for China Students Book 2A , unit 7 Living with disease, the second part-reading Born dying. Ill explain it in 7 aspects: the analysis of the Teaching materials, the analysis of the students, Teaching methods and Learning strategies , Teaching aids ,Teaching procedures, the Blackboard design and

3、 Teaching Evaluation.I. The understanding of the teaching material1. Statue and function:This class is about the reading part of Unit 7 living with disease. The topic of this unit is about diseases. As we all know, each unit is divided into several parts: warming up, listening, speaking, reading and

4、 integrating skills. By learning this unit,the students will get some information about some deadly diseases : AIDs and cancer , and learn to talk about the topic in their own language through enough listening , reading , speaking and writing . The title of the reading part is Born Dying. In this pa

5、ssage , by taking Xiaohua as an example, students will get the basic information about AIDs, such as what is AIDs? How does it transmit? What is the present situation? And what is Xiaohuas attitude towards AIDs? After learning this passage students reading and speaking abilities will be improved.2.

6、Teaching objectives:Based on the above analysis of the text, I divide the teaching objectives into three parts: 1. Knowledge objective: to help the students have a better understanding of the text, improving their four basic English skills “ listening, speaking, reading and writing and learn the sim

7、ple use of the Subjunctive Mood.2. Ability objective: to help the students learn how to talk about AIDs, and improve the reading skills.3. Moral objectives: To help the students learn to cooperate with others and instruct the students to have a positive attitude towards AIDs and cherish their life.T

8、he focus of this class is to help the students have a better understanding of the text and improve the students reading skills and. The difficult point is to use the acquired knowledge to express themselves. II. The analysis of the studentsThe students are all from Grade 2, No. 1 Middle School of An

9、yang. The students of this age are full of curiosity and eager to show what they know, however, their knowledge and vocabulary is relatively narrow, so I will guide and encourage them to study through various activities.III. Teaching methods and Learning strategiesAccording to the students character

10、istics above, I adopt task-based language teaching method. By fulfilling different tasks, the students can have a better understanding of the text. Moreover situational approach and communicative approach will also be used during my teaching. As the instructor and organizer of the class, Ill give my

11、 students different tasks and present different situations to motivate them to use their acquired knowledge to talk about the topic. Meanwhile, with the help of some activities and group work, the students learn to cooperate with others. IV. Teaching aidsAs to teaching aids, CAI is introduced in the

12、 course of teaching, that is Computer Assisted Instruction(计算机辅助教学),with CAI, different pictures, sounds and words can be presented vividly to make the important points stand out. The Blackboard is also useful, I can write some key words or useful expressions on it.V. Teaching procedures:Now Id like

13、 to introduce my teaching procedures as follows: Step1: Lead in : Brainstorm First I will make full use of Multi-media to show a picture of a pretty baby, and ask students to imagine that what kind of deadly disease did the baby get if she was born dying.Step2: skimmingAsk the students to read the p

14、assage as fast as possible and find out who is born dying in the text and why he/she is born dying. Step3: scanning Ask the students to match the main idea for each paragraph.Para 1, 2, 3-Through this part, students can get the main idea of the text.Step4: Intensive readingLet students read the pass

15、age carefully, and then answer the following questions:1. Who is Xiaohua? What happened to her?2. What is AIDS? How do people get AIDS?3. In which part of the world does AIDS spread fast? Why?4. What is Xiaohuas reaction to her illness?Then ask the students to translate three sentences in the passag

16、e, which are used the Subjunctive Mood. I wish I could remember more about my mother. I wish she were here with me and that we were not sick.If I were you, I would give them a hug.Give students a special situation and ask students to make sentences and use the Subjunctive Mood.Step5: InternalizationAsk the students to fill in the two forms and help them retell the passageStep6: DiscussionShow some pictures about AIDS and have a discussion about two topics:What is the b
