Yes, I do/ No, I dont.你难道不记得我们在西班牙的度假吗？ 不，我记得/是的，我不记得。（2）想要表示惊讶、不相信或者夸张时。-Cant you (really) ride a bike? 你真的不会骑自行车吗？ -No, I cant. 是的，我不会。（3）表示想说服别人时。-Wont you help me? -No, Im afraid I cant. 是的，我恐怕帮不了你。（4）表示批评或者表示厌烦、挖苦时。：Cant you shut the door behind you? 你不能随手
6、关门吗？（5）用在感叹句中（用降调）。Didnt he do well!（难道他做的不好吗？） Isnt it cold here!（难道这里不冷吗？） 2、I used to be afraid of being alone. 过去我常害怕独处。（1）alone 是表语形容词，意思是“独自的，单独的。”She lives alone in the house.（她独自住在这座房子里。）注意注意区分区分 alone 和和 lonelyalone 的意义是“单独、独自的”，而 lonely 则指“孤独的、寂寞的”。试看下面这个句子：The old mans wife died a year ag

He lives alone now, but he never feels lonely.这位老人的妻子一年前去世了，他独自生活，但从不感到孤独。（2）be afraid of 害怕, 后面可接名词、代词和动词ing 形式。例：Are you afraid of snakes?你害怕蛇吗？He is afraid of going out alone at night.他害怕在夜里独自外出。be afraid 后面还可接动词不定式，和宾语从句。例：Dont be afraid to ask for help if you need it. 如果你需要，不要害怕向别人求助Section

9、）肯定句：used 这个词没有人称的变化，to 后面接动词原形。I /You / We / They / He / She / It used to be / work / have / play etc.否定句是 didnt use to.When I was a child, I didnt use to like apples. 当我还是孩子的时候我不喜欢苹果疑问形式是 did you use to?Where did you use to live before you came here? 当你来这儿之前你住哪儿？（2）含有 used to 的句子的反意疑问句不要 usednt +
10、主语，而用 didnt 主语。He used to smoke, didnt he? 他过去常常吸烟，是吗？Yes, he did./ No, he didnt. 是的，他吸。/ 不，他不吸。（3）used to 表示过去的习惯动作， 而不是现在的。I am used to the weather here. 我已经习惯于这里的天气了。He is used to hard work. 他习惯于艰苦的工作。（4）used to 可以和 be, have 以及其他状态动词连用，描写过去的状态。I used to be a waiter, but now Im a taxi-driver. 我过去是
11、一个服务员，但现在我是出租车司机。 本单元的许多运用 used to 的句子属于描述过去的状态。Mario used to be short. 马力奥过去总是很矮。 Amy used to be outgoing. 爱米过去性格外向。Tina used to have long and straight hair. 蒂娜过去有一头直的长头发。He used to wear black shoes. 他过去常穿黑鞋。Would 与与 used to 的共同点：的共同点：Would 与 used to 都可用来表示过去经常性或习惯性的动作，常常可以换用。如： When we were boys w
12、e used to/would go swimming every summer. 小时候，每到夏天我们都要去游泳。 He used to/would spend every penny he earned on books 过去，他通常把挣来的钱全花在买书上。Would 与与 used to 的区别：的区别：Used to 表示过去经常性或习惯性的动作或状态现在已经结束; would 则表示有可能再发生。如：People used to believe that the earth was flat过去，人们总以为地球是扁平的。（现在已不再这样认为） He would go to the p
