3、director of the Teaching Research Department, who offered us valuable guidance and suggested improvements in the research. Read-in-English Strategy Research is a broad research project. It ranges from learning strategy to classroom techniques, and larger issues. It is also about global concerns in l
4、anguage teaching. Our research group has just touched a fraction of the subject. We still have a lot to do, for instance, how we can instruct the student to be an active reader, what activities we should invent and organize in the classroom, what feedback will be more activating, and so forth. Stric
5、tly speaking, what includes in the booklet is not the focus of this research. Unfortunately, most of these images are more negative than they should be. Thus changing the way you think about yourself is the key to changing
10、 your self-image and your whole world. The best way to defeat a passive self-image is to step back and decide to stress your successes. That is, make a list if you need to, but write down all of the great things you do every day. Dont allow doubts to occur in it. It very well might be that you are e
11、xperiencing a negative self-image because you cant move past one flaw or weakness that you see about yourself. Well, roll up your sleeves and make a change of it as your primary task. If you think youre silly because you arent good at math, find a tutor. If you think youre weak because you cant run
12、a mile, get to the track and practice. If you think youre dull because you dont wear the latest trends, buy a few new clothes. But remember, just because you think it doesnt mean its true. The best way to get rid of a negative serf-image is to realize that your image is 22far from objective, and to
13、actively convince yourself of your positive qualities. Changing the way you think and working on those you need to improve will go a long way towards promoting a positive self-image.
