7、。让学生了解 U 的历史、地理、化和名胜古迹。同时让学生掌握表示同意或不同意的交际用语。使学生通过本单元学习，能够介绍某一地区的情况。11 ARING UP 提供了四幅有关 U 的图片，让学生用已有的知识和经验讨论所给图片的名称，并结合学生已有的知识谈论英国著名的城市、河流，及它的化、艺术、建筑、生活等。12 LISTENING 是关于上时间表的听力材料，难度中等。听后与同伴合作设想自己理想的上时间表，并向其描述自己的程表。13 EAISPNG 根据材料，四人小组合作，谈论有关语言学习、地理学习和一些岛屿国家的发展，从而锻炼学生的语言表达能力。14 PRE-READING 是 READING
