1、梅 兰 芳 （ 1894 1961） ， 京 剧 表 演 艺 术 家 。 名 澜 ， 字 畹 华 。 江 苏 泰 州 人 ， 长 期 寓 居 北京 。 出 身 于 梨 园 世 家 ， 8岁 学 戏 ， 9岁 拜 吴 菱 仙 为 师 学 青 衣 ， 11岁 登 台 。 工 青 衣 ， 兼演 刀 马 旦 。 后 又 求 教 于 秦 稚 芬 和 胡 二 庚 学 花 旦 。 他 刻 苦 学 习 昆 曲 、 练 武 功 、 练 功 ， 广 泛观 摩 旦 角 本 工 戏 和 其 他 各 行 角 色 的 演 出 ， 经 过 长 期 的 舞 台 实 践 ， 对 京 剧 旦 角 的 唱 腔 、 念白 、 舞 蹈
2、 、 音 乐 、 服 装 、 化 妆 等 各 方 面 都 有 所 创 造 发 展 ， 形 成 了 自 己 的 艺 术 风 格 ， 世 称“梅 派 ”。梅 兰 芳 在 艺 术 上 的 卓 越 成 就 引 起 了 国 外 人 士 的 重 视 ， 曾 于 1949年 前 先 后 赴 日 本 、美 国 、 苏 联 演 出 ， 并 荣 获 美 国 波 摩 那 学 院 和 南 加 州 大 学 的 荣 誉 文 学 博 士 学 位 。 梅 先生 还 是 一 位 伟 大 的 爱 国 主 义 者 ， 抗 战 期 间 蓄 须 明 志 ， 拒 绝 演 出 ， 靠 写 字 卖 画 为 生 。 解 放后 历 任 中 国
3、京 剧 院 院 长 、 中 国 戏 曲 研 究 院 院 长 、 中 国 文 学 艺 术 界 联 合 会 副 主 席 、 中 国 戏剧 家 协 会 副 主 席 。 1959年 ， 加 入 中 国 共 产 党 ， 并 以 65岁 高 龄 ， 排 演 了 最 后 一 出 新 戏 穆 桂 英 挂 帅 。 1961年 8月 8日 因 心 脏 病 发 作 ， 在 北 京 病 逝 。 终 年 67岁 。代 表 戏 京 剧 有 贵 妃 醉 酒 、 霸 王 别 姬 等 ； 昆 曲 有 思 凡 、 游 园 惊 梦 等 。所 著 论 文 编 为 梅 兰 芳 文 集 ， 演 出 剧 目 编 为 梅 兰 芳 演 出 剧
4、 本 选 集 。 梅 派 艺 术 传 人有 李 世 芳 、 张 君 秋 、 言 慧 珠 、 杜 近 芳 、 梅 葆 玖 等 。日 伪 讹 诈 愤 然 毁 画梅 兰 芳 有 一 笔 演 出 的 收 入 ， 在 赴 港 时 ， 曾 带 往 香 港 存 入 银 行 。 可 是 返 回 上 海 不 久 ，日 寇 统 治 下 的 香 港 将 这 笔 高 额 存 款 全 部 冻 结 ， 无 法 取 出 。 一 直 靠 利 息 过 日 子 的 梅 兰 芳 ，家 庭 生 活 顿 时 举 步 维 艰 ， 夫 人 说 ： “最 近 报 纸 登 出 了 何 香 凝 女 士 卖 画 谋 生 的 消 息 ， 我们 不
5、妨 也 来 学 她 。 发 挥 你 的 绘 画 才 能 ， 卖 画 度 日 如 何 ？ ”其 实 梅 兰 芳 早 有 这 种 念 头 ， 只 是 没 有 说 出 ， 怕 夫 人 不 同 意 。 现 在 夫 人 主 动 说 出 来 了 ，他 自 然 点 头 称 好 。 两 人 着 手 构 思 ， 夫 人 磨 墨 ， 丈 夫 绘 画 。 不 到 八 天 ， 画 了 20多 幅 鱼 、虾 、 梅 、 松 。 当 市 民 看 到 醒 目 的 “本 店 出 售 梅 兰 芳 先 生 近 日 画 作 ， 欢 迎 光 临 ”的 广 告时 ， 争 相 购 买 。 不 到 两 天 ， 20多 幅 画 就 全 部
6、卖 完 了 。然 而 此 消 息 不 胫 而 走 ， 日 伪 汉 奸 获 知 后 互 相 勾 结 ， 肆 意 捣 乱 。 梅 兰 芳 夫 妇 目 睹 此景 ， 气 得 两 眼 冒 火 ， 立 即 拿 起 桌 上 的 裁 纸 刀 ， 刺 向 一 幅 幅 图 画 。 “哗 ！ 哗 ！ 哗 ！ ”几 分钟 内 国 画 化 为 碎 纸 。梅 兰 芳 义 愤 填 膺 的 毁 画 举 动 ， 很 快 传 遍 整 个 上 海 ， 也 很 快 传 向 大 江 南 北 。 上 海 当 局的 报 纸 抢 先 发 布 头 号 新 闻 ， 言 称 ： “褚 部 长 目 瞪 口 呆 ， 一 场 画 展 一 场 虚 惊
7、！ 广 大 群 众 也纷 纷 寄 来 书 信 ， 支 持 梅 兰 芳 的 爱 国 行 动 。 梅 兰 芳 看 到 全 国 人 民 对 他 如 此 赞 赏 和 支 援 ， 感动 得 热 泪 盈 眶 ， 兴 奋 地 对 夫 人 说 ： “我 梅 兰 芳 再 也 不 是 一 只 孤 燕 了 ！ ” Mei lanfang(18941961), the artist of Beijing Opera performance, who Borned in Tanzhou, Jiangsu and resided in Beijing. His name is Lan , and his courtesy
8、 name is Wanhua. Mei came from a long line of theatre. When 8-year-old, he started to learn play performance. Mei acknowledged Wu Lingxian as his master in the following year. Then he made his debut in his 11 years old. His profession was ching i (usually a faithful wife role, lover or maiden in dis
9、tress) and took tao ma tan as double. Later Mei learned hua tan (a vivacious young woman, a coquette), from Qin Zhifen and Hu Er. He worked hard in learning Kunqu opera, exercising gest, practicing his skill, viewing the plays of female role and all the other characters extensively. After long times
10、 stage practice, Mei progressed in the aspects of the aria of female role in Beijing opera, the spoken part, the dance performance, the music, the costume and the make-up. Thus he formed his own artistic style which was called “Mi School”.The preeminence of Mei Lanfang attracted the foreigners atten
11、tion. He made his performances in Japan, American and Soviet Union before 1949. Whats more, he was honored with the honorary L.D. of American Bomona College and South California University. Mr.Mei, who was also a great patriot, once started the pogonotrophy, rejected all the perform opportunities, a
12、nd made a living by writing and selling paints. After liberation, he served as director of China Beijing Opera Theater, director of the Chinese Opera Research Institute, vice-chairman of China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and vice-chairman of China association of artists. Mr.Mei admitted
13、the Communist Party in 1959, and rehearsed the last new play “Mu Guiying is in command” at the ripe old age of 65. In 8th, August, 1961, Mr.Mei died of the hit of heart disease in Beijing. 67 years old at death.Mei Lanfangs representative works are as follows, Peking opera “The Drunken Beauty”, “Mu
14、Guiying is in command” and so on; Kunqu opera “Long for the World” ,“Awakened from a dream in the garden” etc. Several of his articles and essays have been published in “The Collected Works of Mei Lanfang”. His performances have been published in “Selection of Beijing Operas Performed by Mei Lanfang

The successors of Mei school artist are Li Shifang, Zhang Junqiu, Yan Huizhu, Du Jinfang, Mei Baojiu, etc.Mei Lanfang possessed a performance income and had deposited it when he was in Hong Kong. However, the large sum of money was totally breezed by the Hong Kong bank which was under control of
16、Japan and cannot be taken out. At that time, Meis family life even had difficulty in taking a step in that event, for he ever made a living only by the interest before. His wife said “The newspaper had printed the news that lady He Xiangning made a living by selling paints. How about following her action and exerting your ability of drawing for a living?” In fact, Mei already had this idea and hadnt claimed it because he had a fear that his w
