Whether he will go there is not known.Step 2. 主语从句的定义、语序及位置。1 定义：在复合句中充当主语的句子叫主语从句，是名词性从句之一。2 语序：在名词性从句中一律使用陈述语
3、序。3 位置：出现在句首，位于系动词谓语动词之前。Eg: whether we will go camping depends on the weather.Step 3. 引导主语从句的关联词及连接词的选定。1. 从属连词：that, whether (句子结构完整)。2. 连接代词：whom(whomever), who(whoever), which (whichever), what(whatever), whose 等（句子结构缺少主干成分） 。3. 连接副词：where, when, how, why（句子主干部分完整但缺少状语） 。Step 4. 连词在从句中的功能：遵循“缺什么
4、补什么不缺补 that”的原则） 。Step 5. 主语从句的后置：为了避免主语冗长，句子头重脚轻，经常用 it 作形式主语，主语从句放在后面作真正的主语。如：That the earth is round is known to all.It is known to all that the earth is round.可用 it 作形式主语，常见句型有：1. It +be +形容词+that 从句 (obvious, true, possible, certain, etc.)2. It +be+名词词组+that 从句(a fact, a pity, an honor, etc.)3.
5、 It +be +过去分词+that 从句 (said, reported, decided, expected, etc.)4. It+不及物动词或短语+that 从句（seem, happen, turn out, doesnt matter, appear, etc.）Step 6. 需注意的情况。1. What 引导的主语从句与 That 引导的主语从句的区别What 在句中充当可以主语、宾语、表语，That 不充当任何成分。2. 主谓一致：主语从句多表示单一概念，因此主句谓语动词多用单数，What 引导的从句根据表达的含义来确定谓语动词的单复形式。3. 用于 It is import
6、ant / natural / necessary / impossible that.句型中, 主语从句应使用虚拟语气, 用“should + 动词原形” 的形式, should 可省。4. 在 It + be + suggested/advised/ordered/requested/insisted/required 中, that 从句的谓语也应该用“should + 动词原形 ”的形式, should 可省。Step 7.
