1、Unit 5 Do you have a soccer ball 第一课时: New wordsTeaching and Learning Goals: Learn the new words of Unit5 in one class. Students try to learn how to read and remember the words and phrases. Memorize the words by spelling and using them. Students will learn to study individually and collectively.Teac

2、hing and learning steps :Step 1:Learn to read the words on P90. (1). Students try to read the words using the phonetics by themselves. Make a “”before the words that they cant read correctly.(2). Then let the students read with their partners in groups of four. They can talk about how to read the wo

3、rds with“”.At the same time the teacher walks around to see if they have any questions and help them.(3).Get some students to read and correct their pronunciation. Then follow the teacher .(4).Read after the tape.(5).Read aloud and the teacher walks around to give some help if they need. (设计意图:经过4个单

4、元的学习,大多数学生对于较简单的音标已能读出。所以第一步设计了让学生自己先试读单词,并把不能快速读出的标上“”,第二步小组内读,主要是解决标号的单词,教师巡视,发现问题可给予帮助 。本单元的单词多数都比较易读,但要注意几个形容词:interesting, relaxing, difficult, boring.后几步中,让学生读单词、正音、跟老师读、跟磁带读,这样的设计,目的是让多数学生能熟读单词。)Step 2 : Learn to remember some words . (1). Remember the words by looking at pictures. Let the st

5、udents ask and answer like this : A: Hey, Helen. Whats this in English? B: Its a.A: How do you spell it?B:A: Do you have a? B: Yes, I do. /No, I dont.(2) Remember the words by looking at pictures, using the phonetics and the pictures.(3).Let the students make some conversations with the phrases, lik

6、e this: A:I have a soccer, lets play soccer. Then let the students practice.1.we 我们(人称代词主格)2.them 他(她、它)们(人称代词宾格)3.get 去取(或带来);得到4.only 只,仅仅(设计意图:出示球的图片和单词,让物与词直接对应,再次巩固了词汇记忆,对话中与play短语连用,可以提前预习“打球”这一运动项目的词组;对话学单词,再一次巩固了词的用法,同时学说Lets句型和“That

8、 sounds+形容词”的句子,对本单元知识点也起到了预习作用。通过多种手段和多种形式来吸引学生的兴趣,让学生记忆单词却不觉得枯燥。)Step 3: Spell and memorize the words Give the students a few minutes to try to memorize the words . (1).Work in pairs. Get one student to say the words in Chinese. The other says in English then spell .(2). Get the students to have a

9、 short dictation about the important words and phrases. If they cant , dictate in groups after class. (设计意图:此环节为巩固单词。通过两两提问、拼单词游戏、重点词默写的形式来对单词加以巩固。不达标的学生,需要利用自习课或课余的时间让小组长跟踪检查,教师应及时督促、让小组长反馈检查的结果,做好跟踪检查。)Step 4: Read the story and translate into Chinese:(1). Get the students to read the story, and u

10、nderline the new words.(2). Translate it into Chinese in groups .(3). Read the story fluently by themselves.Bob and I are brothers. We go to the same school and we love sports. Bob likes ping-pong. He has three ping-pong balls and two ping-pong bats. After class, his classmates often asks “Hey, Bob

11、.Letsplay ping-pong ,OK?” Bob says “That sounds great! Lets go!” Then they get the ball and the bats to play. Its easy for Bob, but his classmates think its very difficult. I have two tennis balls、three soccer balls、 four basketballs and five volleyballs. I often play them with Bob after school. And

Mind map思维树(1).Get the students to read the mind map and fill in the mind map according to the story , they can discuss in groups. (2).Get the students to retell the story using the mind map. (设计意图:把短文与思维导图结合起来,加深了对

14、本单元的一些词汇和短语的理解,在语境中体会词组的用法。同时,思维导图将文章划分三部分,可以培养学生分节理解记忆文章的习惯。) Step 6. 当堂检测一汉译英:1.英式足球 2.网球 3.乒乓球拍 4.棒球拍 5.乒乓球 6.打排球 7.打篮球 二根据句意和汉语意思填单词。1. (让咱们) play tennis. 2.
