1、人教版（新目标）初中英语形容词与副词的比较级与最高级（一）规则变化：1绝大多数的单音节和少数双音节词，加词尾-er ，-esttalltallertallest 2以不发音的e结尾的单音节词和少数以-le结尾的双音节词只加-r，-stnicenicernicest , ableablerablest 3以一个辅音字母结尾的重读闭音节词或少数双音节词，双写结尾的辅音字母，再加-er，-estbigbiggerbiggest 4以辅音字母加y结尾的双音节词，改y为i再加-er，-esteasyeasiereasiest 5少数以-er，-ow结尾的双音节词末尾加-er，-est clevercle

5、 or Australia? / Which is the larger country, Canada or Australia? 可用比较级形式表示最高级概念，关键是要用或或否定词等把一事物（或人）与其他同类事物（或人）相分离 He is taller than any other boy / anybody else. Nobody is taller than him.比较对象相同时，可用that, those等代词代替第二个比较对象 The weather in Shanghai is better than that in Wuhan. 比较级 + than与not so/as +
6、 adj./adv. +as的相互转换 Maria is not so / as brave as Helen. = Helen is braver than Maria. Nothing is so easy as this. = Nothing is easier than this. = This is the easiest thing.3“比较级 + and + 比较级”表示“越来越”（加more构成比较形式的，只重复more，不重复原形容词或副词 colder and colder , more and more beautiful 4“the +比较级（），the +比较级（）”
7、表示“越，越” The earlier you start, the sooner you will be back. 5降级比较用“the + 原级形容词或副词（不论是单音节还是多音节的）+ than 从句” Today is less cold than yesterday.6一些特殊比较词组： no more than 不过，仅仅；同一样不能 not more than至多，不超过 no less than 多达，有之多（加数字）（强调数量之多，带有感情色彩）；一样，不亚于，恰好 not less than不少于（加数字）（无强调多少之意）7the + 最高级 + 比较范围（in表示环境
