Today ,we will show you some main definitions about culture.2The definitions are from the following aspects:uChinese views uInternational views3 早在周易中就有所记载：“观乎天文，以察时变；观乎人文，以化成天下。”而这种规定性从汉时的“凡武之兴，为不服也；文化不改，然后加诛。”和唐时的“圣人观察人文，则诗书礼乐之谓”起，一直影响到明清。因此，顾炎武在日知录中说：“自身而至于家国天下，制之为度数，发之为音容，莫非文也。”即人
3、自身的行为表现和国家的各种制度，都属于“文化”的范畴。4中国文化名人梁启超（1873-1929）说：“文化者，人类心能所开释出来有价值的共业也。” 胡适（1891-1962）对“文化”的解释是：民族的生活样式。 梁漱溟（1893-1988）先生的解释是：人的生活样法。5台湾作家龙应台女士在文化是什么一文中写道：“文化？它是随便一个人迎面走来，他的举手投足，他的一颦一笑，他的整体气质。”1999年版辞海对“文化“的解释是：广义指人类在社会实践过程中所获得的物质、精神的生产能力和创造的物质、精神财富的总和。狭义指精神生产能力和精神产品，包括一切社会意识形式：自然科学、技术科学、社会意识形态。有时又
4、专指教育、科学、文学、艺术、卫生、体育等方面的知识与设施。作为一种历史现象，文化的发展有历史的继承性：在阶级社会中，又具有阶级性，同时也具有民族性、地域性。不同民族、不同地域的文化又形成了人类文化的多样性。作为社会意识形态的文化，是一定社会的政治和经济的反映，同时又给予一定社会的政治和经济以巨大的影响。 6现代汉语词典把文化定义为：“人类在社会历史发展过程中所创造的物质财富和精神财富的总和，特指精神财富，如文学、艺术、教育、科学等。” 人教版高中政治课本文化生活中将文化定义为：文化是相对于经济、政治而言的人类全部精神活动及其产品。包括世界观、人生观、价值观（这是文化素养的核心）等意识形态的部分
5、，又包括自然科学和技术、语言等非意识形态部分。我们的文化，不同广义的“文明”，亦不同于狭义的“文化知识”。文化是人类特有的现象。文化活动离不开物质载体（如书籍、艺术品、文物等都是物质载体）。 7 第一个明确的文化定义的提出者是爱德华泰勒。 英国学者Edward Tylor 在 1871提出的:Culture or civilization . . . is that complex whole which includes knowledge, belief, art, law, morals, custom, and any other capabilities and habits acq
