14、研究综述研究综述A Summarization of the Study of 地名的译写应以音译( transliteration)为主,力求准确规范过去我国地名、人名译写均使用威妥玛式拼法。威妥玛式拼法是由英国外交官、汉学家Thomas Francis Wads(威妥玛, 1818-1895)所创, 1888年创造的威妥玛式拼法影响很大。威妥玛式拼法拼法译写我国地名人名是不准确的,如用英语的清辅音“p, t, k”拼写汉语的爆破音“b, d, g”,如青岛(Qingdao)-Chingtao,北京(Beijing)-Pewking等。1979年后,我国政府规定使用汉语拼音译写我国地名和人名
15、. 如果一个地名的专名和通名都是单音节词,翻译是应根据汉语的读音规则,将通名看作专名的组成部分进行音译,然后再意译通名,分开书写 如:泰山(MountTai),长江(the Changjiang River),太湖(TaiLake)等; 对于那些同字不同音的汉字,由于他们在具体的地名中读音却是固定的,在翻译这类地名时,我们必须按照中国地名词典标注的汉字读音进行翻译。如:洞庭湖(theDongtingLake),哄洞县(HongtongCounty),六 盘 水 (LiupanshuiCity)六 合 县 (Luhe County)。有关地名翻译 w涉及到地名通常使用汉语拼音加英语Area ，D
