English teaching is actually a process of active learning and learner independence and personality research. Emotion is of the first importance in learner-bas

9、ed study,an internal driving force and a response for whether one is satisfied with his/her needs and intension. In this atmosphere, the teacher and students are willing to trust and support each other will promote the harmonious interaction, this will help in English classroom task to satisfy learn

10、ers needs and intension effectively. Therefore, to study emotion is helpful to improve and get great achievement, at the same time,to promote the development of whole-person education in class.This article is made up of five parts. The first part is the introduction. It refers to the overview of the

11、 study of affect education in English teaching, justification and purpose of the present study and gives the definition of affect education. The second part is states the importance, realistic significance and role of affect education in middle school ESL classrooms. The third part is simply describ

12、es the status quo and problems of affect education in middle school ESL classrooms, and the problems of affect education is: Emphasis on imputing knowledge and neglecting cultivate affection; Students are not good at applying affective factors in learning; Teachers are not good at applying affective

13、 factors in teaching. The forth part is introduces some practical strategies of affect education in middle school ESL classrooms, for example: Setting up a proper attitude towards the student; Applying Cooperative Learning in Class; Encouraging Positive feeling. The fifth part is the conclusion. Through the overview of this article and the analysis of the survey, it states affect education is effective and practical for the students in middle school ESL classrooms.Key words: affect education,middl
