2、e is to clearly define the housekeeping requirements for the project2.0 DEFINITIONSHousekeeping is defined as being: Those arrangements necessary to ensure at all times where work associated with the realisation of the Project is being undertaken, such areas are maintained in a safe, clean, tidy and
3、 appealing manner to support those who are expected to work in them. Project personnel shall be held accountable for maintaining very high housekeeping standards in all areas of activity under their direct or indirect control.3.0 PROCEDURE3.1GENERALAll work, storage, establishment, lay down areas an
4、d any other specified areas under the direct or indirect control of African Minerals Limited shall be maintained in a safe, clean, tidy and acceptable state to the satisfaction of the alliance partners. Packing materials, scrap and all rubbish shall be cleared from the site as soon, as is practicabl
5、e and disposed of in a manner that will not contravene local or statutory environmental regulations or policies.In each area the level of housekeeping performance shall be documented, with attention to the following: Areas shall only be used for purposes of which they are intended. Signs or barriers
6、 will designate areas for storage, walkways and work areas. Materials stored in open areas shall be stored in a tidy manner in appropriate containers as well as in accordance with any relevant legislation. Vehicles shall be parked only in authorized parking places. Aisles, walkways, corridors, stair
7、cases, doorways, enhance halls, foyers and exists shall be unobstructed, free from slipping hazards and the accumulation of combustible materials. Accumulations of dirt and dust shall be removed from floors daily. Access to safety and fire fighting equipment shall be unobstructed. There shall be arr
8、angements for routine cleaning, tidying and inspection of all areas. Removal of rubbish, scrap or unwanted material to a designated place shall be an integrated part of all tasks.Appropriate equipment for cleaning and for collection and disposal of unwanted material shall be provided. Rubbish, soap
9、and unwanted materials shall be disposed of in an environmentally acceptable manner off site. Consideration shall be given to proper location of notice boards, notices and other information. Racks shall be provided for storing of tools and hoses. Appropriate storage facilities shall be provided for
10、files, personal protective equipment, cleaning material etc.3.2 INSPECTIONS Supervisors shall conduct daily housekeeping inspections The Project Manager shall ensure the follow up action plans are developed and progressed.4.0 REFERENCESCurrent applicable Standards.5.0 ATTACHMENTSNILENSURE THAT YOU ARE USING THE LATEST VERSION OF THIS DOCUMENT
