DISTRIBUTIONThere are no restrictions on the distribution of this procedure within the Company.2. SCOPEThis procedure details

3、the requirements covering the following archaeological and heritage issues: Aboriginal sacred/burial sites, relics, artefacts and Mabo style land rights claims, Sites of archaeological significance, Buildings and artefacts of heritage and cultural significance.3. PROCEDURE5.1 Identification of Archaeological Areas5.1.1 Tender Stage Bidding for WorksWhen developing a bid for project works, the site will be assessed by the nominated Project Manager to determine the presence of any sites or issues of archaeological or heritage significance

5、 likely to impact on the project submission. This is normally performed in conjunction with a site reconnaissance visit. It may be appropriate to engage a specialist consultant to assist with this assessment if significant archaeological or heritage issues are anticipated.Where archaeological or her

6、itage issues are identified, an appropriate management method shall be detailed in a site visit report, and a cost included in the tender to deal with the issues.5.1.2 Stage Letting ContractsPrior to tendering any site contracts, the Project Manager will ensure that they are fully aware of regulator

7、y requirements and archaeological and heritage issues pertinent to construction of the project. It may be appropriate to engage a specialist consultant to assist with this assessment to ensure that the process is thoroughly covered.Where archaeological or heritage issues are identified, an appropria

8、te management method shall be developed and included in the Project HSE Plan or Construction Environmental Management Plan.The Project Manager will ensure that the Procurement Manager for the project is fully informed of any such archaeological or heritage issues. The Procurement Manager shall refer

9、 to relevant archaeological or heritage issues and management requirements in all subcontract tender documents. Contractors will be instructed to include the cost of managing these issues into their bid.5.1.3 Award of Contract StageThe Project Manager, or nominated delegate shall ensure that all arc

10、haeological and heritage issues are included in the HSE Plan or Project Management Plan, and that the work instructions, ITPs and checklists required to implement the management strategy are developed. Prior to and during construction works, The Construction Manager in conjunction with the respectiv

11、e Supervisor shall cordon off areas identified to be of archaeological or heritage significance using sign boards, barrier tapes, para webs or other approved markings.5.2 Planning and MonitoringThe Project Manager or nominated delegate shall develop documentation such as checklists for monitoring th

12、e control and administration of the archaeological and heritage sites. The documentation shall address the following: monitoring criteria, frequency of monitoring.The developed documentation shall be reviewed and authorised as specified in the Project HSE Plan or Construction EMP.The Construction Ma

13、nager shall ensure that the environmental practices required for archaeological and heritage sites are established by the project team. Once established, the monitoring of archaeological and heritage sites shall be performed and documented by the Construction Manager or nominated delegate in accorda

14、nce with the Project HSE Plan or Construction EMP requirements.5.3 New FindingsWhere new archaeological or heritage sites or issues are identified during the course of construction, the Construction Manager shall: Immediately (and safely) cease all works that could damage the site or artefacts; deta

15、il the nature, extent and significance of the discovery in a report to the Project Manager; identify and cordon off the area ; Prevent any personnel from entering or disturbing the site; Assist to develop a management strategy for the new find; Only authorise subcontractors to recommence ceased works when approval to re-start works has been gained from the Project Manager and relevant authority Ensure that any new management and monitoring strategies developed as a result of the find are implemented on recommencement of works.On receipt of the report the Project Manager shall: I
