1、Unit 10Im going to be a basketball player.Good afternoon, honorable judges and dear teachers and my friends, Im very glad to stand here and share my teaching ideas with you. Today my teaching topic is unit 10; Im going to be a basketball player Section A Grade 8. In my class, I divide my teaching pl

2、an into 6 parts, they are teaching material, students analysis, teaching methods and leaning strategies, teaching aids, teaching procedure and blackboard design. Now I will introduce my teaching plan one by one, please follow me into the first part, teaching material. I analyzed teaching material in

3、to 3 aspects, they are status and function; teaching objectives; teaching key points and difficulty.First is status and function. Go for It is a series of textbooks compiled for junior middle school students. The central idea of it is to challenge students to gain communicative competence in the stu

4、dy of the culture of this language. Each unit is divided into two parts, they are section a and section b. Section As aim is to make students master the basic language content, section B is the expansion and integrated use of knowledge. The next part-Teaching objectives. I divide the objectives into

5、 knowledge objectives, ability objectives and moral objectives. First, knowledge objectives. In this unit, students should try their best to master some new words, useful expressions and the key structure.Second, ability objectives. In the language learning process, these four skills are inseparable

6、 and mutual interactive; they all contribute to developing students language skill meanwhile focus will be laid on improving students communicative ability and their integrating skills.Next-moral objectives. The new curriculum standards require teachers to pay more attention to the moral development

7、 of students. In this unit, through talking about future intentions, enable the students to realize their dream jobs, and make the resolutions to achieve them.Lets move on to the next part: Teaching key points and difficulties. The key points of this unit are new words: computer, engineer, programme

8、r and pilot, expressions are dream job, grow up, move to; structure is be going to do. These are the key points students should pay more attention to. As for the difficulty, students should learn to talk about their dream jobs and make the resolutions to achieve them.As we all know, student is the c

9、enter of teaching activity, they play an important role in teaching procedure. So next is students analysis. Most of the junior middle school students are aged from 13 to 15. They are active, talkative and creative with strong abilities of memorizing, imitating and performing. So Ill provide them wi

10、th real contexts, various tasks and challenging activities. The purpose is to motivate students learning enthusiasm and cooperative spirit.As far as Teaching methods and learning strategies are concerned, in this unit, Ill mainly use task-based teaching method; various tasks will be designed for the

11、 students to master appropriate functional patterns. Besides, I will use audio-visual, communicative and situational teaching method to raise students interest as well as present context vividly. For students, I will guide them to master the learning strategies gradually; prediction, cooperation, an

12、d comparison will be encouraged in my class. Now lets talk about teaching aids. In this unit, I will make use of multimedia to assist my class. For example, I will use some recordings, pictures, videos, objects and charts. This will help to create the language situation and enhance the communication

13、 between the teacher and students. Now lets come to the most important part of my teaching plan-Teaching procedure. It is made up of 5 parts. They are preparation, presentation, practice, production and homework. Well, during these parts, students comprehensive abilities are expected to be improved

14、step by step.First: Preparation.At the beginning of the class, I will sing a song for the class, like this: and then, Ill tell them: “When I was a little girl, I said to myself: “I am going to be a singer”. But now, Im a teacher, and I like my job!” Then Ill ask them “What are you going to be when y

15、ou grow up?” After that, Ill play one piece of video in order to let the students have a discussion on their dream jobs. Like thisBy showing them other students dream jobs, like professional basketball player, computer programmer, the new knowledge will be presented in an interesting way. Here I use

16、 audio-visual teaching method to help students think about their dream jobs; meanwhile itll arouse students interests to the new content of this class. Then, step two, Presentation. After the warming up, in this step, I will give students some examples about ones jobs, these pictures can show the new words perfectly, through the pictures they can have a better understanding of these words.
