Step4: Distinguish the usages of that, whether/if and what. 【注意】that, whether/if, what 1. that 在主语从句只起引导作用,本身无实际意义,在主语从句中不充当任何成分,但不能省略。 2. whether/if 是否 在句中不做成分,不可以省略,放在句首只能用whether, 不能用if. 3.wh

8、at引导的主语从句除了起到引导从句的作用外,还要承担具体的意义,what还会作句子成分。 Step5: Do the exercise. 1) Complete the sentences using what, whether, or that. (_ is needed for success) is your hard work. Make a sentence by using these words in correct order: the baby, what, the cat did, make, cry_Step7:Summary1) 用that / whether / if/ who /what/which /whatever/where/ how / when /why 等连接词来引导主语从句.2) That 在主语从句中不能省略.3) 引导主语从句在句首只能用whether,不能用if.4) 有时为了使句子结构平衡, 避免 “头重脚轻”,常用 it 作形式主语,而把主语从句放在后5) 单个主语从句作主语时,谓语动词一般用单数形式。Step8: Homework Finish the exercise 2 on Page 29 in our textbook.1
