1、中考英语专题讲练：情态动词（一）要点归纳情态动词概述：情态动词有：can，may， will， shall， must， ought to，need，should，dare，be able to，和have to等。情态动词表示说话人对某种动作和状态的看法，但情态动词不能单独作谓语，一般只能和动词连用构成谓语。情态动词的语法特征：1） 情态动词不能表示正在发生或已经发生的事情，只表示期待或估计某事的发生。2） 情态动词后面只能接不带to 的不定式。3） 情态动词没有人称，数的变化，即情态动词第三人称单数不加-s。4） 情态动词没有非谓语形式，即没有不定式，分词，等形式。常见情态动词的用法：1.
2、 can:能，会，表示能力，相当于be able to(适用于任何时态)。可以，表示许可，相当于may。Cant be 不可能。2. may:可以，可能，或许。 May be 可能是，作谓语， 请区别maybe副词 ，可能。may be，maybe may be和maybe一分一合，但它们的含义和用法却截然不同。 maybe是副词，意思是“也许、可能”，在句中作状语，相当于perhaps，常位于句首。 Maybe shell come this afternoon. 她可能今天下午来。 Maybe you put the letter in your pockets. 大概你把信放在衣袋里了。
3、 在may be中，may是情态动词，be是动词原形，两者构成完整的谓语形式，与主语形成系表结构，意为“也许是、可能是”。 I cant find my watch. It may be in your pocket. 我找不到我的手表了，它可能在你的口袋里。 He may be a soldier. 他可能是军人。 maybe和may be可相互转换。 He may be in the office. = Maybe he is in the office. 他或许在办公室。 You may be right. = Maybe you are right. 你或许是对的。 3. must:必
4、须，表示肯定的猜测。 Must be 准是，一定是。 Mustnt用于否定句表示“禁止，不准”等4. could: 比can语气更委婉，客气，并不表示过去时。5. need: 需要。可作情态动词，也可作行为动词（有人称和数变化，后接带to的动词不定式）。He need make a plan. He needs to make a plan.6. 注意回答形式： May I? Yes, you may. No, you cant (mustnt)。 Must I ? Yes, you must. No, you neednt。7. must 表示说话人的主观看法，have to 表示外界客观愿
