The ancient Maya believed in the afterlife and that caves were a watery underworld. They conducted rituals5 in the caves and left behind many objects li
5、ke pottery vessels and stone knives. Some of the caves even have evidence of human sacrifice.(5)_ If the development destroys the forests, we will lose wonderful creatures. Also, many of the medicines we use now come from the rain forests. No one knows how many miracle cures are waiting to be discov
