Students are able to give advice by using “shouldcould”.Teaching and learning steps:Step I. Pre-listening acti

Preview一、Put the following into English orally.1.票,入场券 2.使惊奇_ 3.风格;款式_ 4.播放 5.怎么了?_?二、Put the following into Chinese.1. keep out _ 2. out of style _3. a ticket to a ball game _ 4.argue with_ 5.call sb. up _ 6.on the phone _ (设计意图:本节课所学的短语和生词不多,并且比较简单.所以我们做题来检测学生的预习效果,及时发现学生预习中的难点加以突破。这样教师可以

3、更有针对性地教,学生可以更有针对性的学。)2. Lead in1)Make a two-column chart on the board with the heading problem at the top of column 1 and the heading Advice at the top of column 2)T: I want to buy a new computer, but I dont have enough money .What should I do? Ask the students to tell you what you could do about it

4、.ProblemI want to buy a new computer but I dont have enough money.AdviceWait until next year.Dont buy a new computer .Get a part-time job.Buy a second-hand computer. 3)Then the teacher read the problem to the class again. And write the words could, should and shouldnt on the board next to the chart.

Discuss which problems students thought were the most serious.6) Ask students to discuss with their classmates: When you find theres something wrong with your friend, how to talk about his or her

While-listening activities1. Listening for the general idea.Tell the Ss that two girls are talking about something. Ask the Ss to

They are talking about girl2s problems.2. Listening for the specific ideas(1) Ask the Ss to listen again and circle the problem they hear i

Circle the word “could” or “should”.(3) Listen again, and ask the students to pay attention to Peters answers. Draw lines to match the advice with the reasons.(4) Ask the Ss to listen to the tape a third time a
