12、urone(神经元)disease, eye movement can be the only way to communicate. “Current eye-tracking input systems for people with ALS or other motor disabilities are expensive, not constant under sunlight, and require frequent readjustment and considerable, relatively fixed systems,” said Xiaoyi Zhang, a rese

13、archer at Microsoft who developed the technology.“To reduce the drawbackswe created GazeSpeak, an eye-gesture communication system running on a smartphone, and is designed to be low-cost, constant, portable and easy to learn.”The app is used by the listener by pointing their smartphone at the speake

A chart stuck to the back of the smartphone is then used by the speaker to determine which eye movements to make for communication.The label shows four grids(方格) of letters, which each correspond to a different eye movement.
