Status and FunctionThe topic of this lesson is to talk about the past events they did last weekend . For the students , this content is very closed to their real life. 2.Teaching aims(1) Knowledg

I want to do this to help them review the language we have learnt in this unit.Secondly , do a guessing game to guess what he/she did last weekend. Students may ask me like this : Did he do

6、 sth ? If they give me a right answer, Ill give the group one score. Id like to do this to arouse their English learning interest.Presentation. Show a photo of my friend ,tell them shes a teacher from No.3 Middle School. Then ,Ill say , shes a good teacher , most of her students like her classes ver

7、y much. Yesterday , we had a nice weekend together. On Sunday morning , I went to her house and we saw a talk show .On Sunday afternoon, we went shopping and spent some money. We were happy to spend a relaxing weekend. Ill write new words and phrases on the blackboard while I m telling . Explain the

8、 words one by one. Point at four irregular verbs ,ask four students to write their present forms on the blackboard. Teach them to read the new words and expressions. Then , Ill give them a free talk - How did you spend the weekend ?They can talk about the weekend with target language, like : On Satu

9、rday morning, I stayed at home and cleaned the room. Well ,lets move to 3a . Listen to the article and underline all the past tense verbs. Show the answers after asking a student to tell us his or her answers. Next , Ill tell them to read the article again and discuss with the partners to fill in th

10、e chart. Show the answers and ask them to repeat the article without looking at the books. Next, look at the pictures and do 3b.After that , a memory challenge. Show some of Dorys pictures , ask them to look at the pictures carefully ,and then Ill cover the pictures. Ask the students to choose any n

11、umber and tell what Dory did. Then I will count the scores and declare the winner.Then, its the homework .
