Thus, be ptimistic, ladies and gentlemen, as it can give yu cnfidence and help yu see yurself thrugh the hard times, just as Winstn Churchill nce said, “An ptimist sees an pprtunity in every calamity; a pessimist sees a calamity in every pprtunity.”Ladi

3、es and Gentlemen, keeping ptimistic, yu will be able t realize, in spite f sme hardship, theres always hpe waiting fr yu, which will lead yu t the ultimate success. Histrically as well as currently, there are t many ptimists f this kind t enumerate. Yu see, Thmas Edisn is ptimistic; if nt, the light

4、 f hpe in his heart culd nt illuminate the whle wrld. Alfred Nbel is ptimistic; if nt, the eplsives and the prestigius Nbel Prize wuld nt have cme int being. And Lance Armstrng is als ptimistic; if nt, the devil f cancer wuld have devured his life and the wrld wuld nt see a 5-time winner f the Tur D

5、e France.A rse may be beautiful, r maybe nt; that depends n yur attitude nly, and s des success, s des life. Will we be able t accept the respnsibility f building the future f ur cuntry?The cynics say the cllege students are the pampered lst generatin, which wuld cringe at the slightest d

8、iscmfrt. But the cynics are wrng. The cllege students I see are eagerly learning abut hw t live independently. We help each ther clean the drmitry, g shpping and bargain tgether, and take part time jbs t supplemeney.The cynics say we care fr nthing ther than grades; and we neglect the need fr charac

9、ter cultivatin. But again, the cynics are wrng. We care deeply fr each ther, we cherish freedm, we treasure justice, and we seek truth. Last week, thusands f my fellw students had their bld type tested in rder t make a cntributin fr the children wh suffer frm bld cancer.As cllege students, we are ad

10、lescents at the critical turning pint in ur lives. We all face a fundamental chice: cynicism r faith, each will prfundly impact ur future, r even the future f ur cuntry. I believe in all my fellw classmates. Thugh we are still ineperienced and even a little bit childish. I believe that we have the c

11、urage and faith t meet any challenge and take n ur respnsibilities. We are preparing t assume new respnsibilities and tasks, and t use the educatin we have received t make ur wrld a better place. I believe in ur future.In my 18 years f life, there have been many things. University days are the best

12、part f them. I can never frget the days when I stepped int my university. I was impressed by its garden-like campus, its enthusiastic students and especially its learning atmsphere.
