Most of Faulkners works are set in his native state of Mississippi, and he is considered one of the most important southern writer.2Childhood Faulkner was Born in New Albany, Mississippi on September 25,1897. 3、ng of most of his works) when he was 5 years old. He grew up as the eldest son of four brothers. As a schoolchild, Faulkner had much success early on.However, beginning somewhere in the fifth grade of his schooling, Faulkner began to play hooky（逃学） occasionally and became somewhat indifferent to his
4、 schoolwork.3As a Young Man He had always dreamed of becoming a pilot in the army however was declined because of his height. In 1918, trained as a pilot for the Royal Canadian Flying Corps（加拿大皇家飞行队）. In 1919, university of Mississippi, after three semesters he dropped out.He began to drink excessiv
5、ely. In 1920, he got a job at a bookstore so that he could read many works from Hawthorne, Mark Twain and so on. In 1925, he went to Eurpoe, his literary began in New orlends where he met Sherwood Anderson, who helped him get his first novel Soilder Pay (军饷）published in 1926.4Adulthood In 1929-1942,

However, it not
